A few of you have heard about my accident this past weekend, so I wanted to be transparent about it and let everyone know the situation. Also it is a funny story.
On Mother's Day I was entertaining my children by roasting leftover Marshmellow Peeps in our chiminea. They catch fire quick and carmelize like crem brulee, and the gooey mess looks vaguely alien and very gross. Anyway, I managed to drop one onto my left hand causing second degree burns on my pinky and ring fingers (no, you don't want to see a photo).
While not great, this could have been far worse and doesn't actually impede my work on the book. I can still type, fold, age and bundle pages just fine.
Anyway, lesson learned, Peeps are evil, and fire is no laughing matter.
