Jobbold Day 2 Extras and Scrapped Concepts

Alright so, after a release of a new "day" update as a special Patreon treat™, I want to get into the habit of basically listing off things that ended up getting scrapped from routes or just general fun tidbits. This one will include a bit of things that got scrapped in Day 1 as well.

First thing to mention is a bit about the minigames that were included. Day 1 was going to have a minigame until I scrapped the idea for Sahsej. Originally the hot-dog eating portion of Day 1 was going to be a minigame where you’d tap the screen a bunch of times to eat hot-dogs and it would always end up with Sahsej winning, but we decided to scrap the idea just to get Sahsej’s route done faster.

Alexa's route was intended to have a different minigame than the cat character creator, where Penit would get one of those spinny things that kids play with that goes "The cow goes moo" or some shit like that. It was eventually scrapped because it wasn't interesting enough to do and it would only be a waste of time for a joke that wouldn't even be that funny. But now there's a warrior cats joke and warrior cats jokes will always be funny to everyone for all of eternity, any attempt to try to disprove this will end with execution by guillotine.

Alternatively for a hot a minute, I was considering making the minigame be an actual small adventure done in the style of the clown history section where you would try to enter a dragon’s lair as a knight in order to defeat the dragon, but all the choices would lead to bad ends, and Penit would get stuck trying to beat the text adventure.

The clownbold portrait that Slobbo has in his room is a reference to when another kobold artist, Waga, joined a discord server me and Uncle Cucky were in together. Most people in the server then proceeded to make kobold oc's on the spot and would ask Waga to rate each of our backstories and kobold. 

This is the original drawing of clownbold and their backstory goes as followed:

And here, I'll even throw the oc I pitched in during those shenanigans.

Anyways, the last thing that was really scrapped was the original idea I had for the character select screen for Day 2.

Fun fact: Day 2’s name was pretty close to being “Where do you work out?” in reference to this golden image:


Eventually I decided against it because it would be too much of an obscure joke.
