Jobbold Day 3 Minigame Update
Added 2019-07-20 23:00:01 +0000 UTCOh damn, I said last week that this week I'd have an update about minigames. I guess I have to keep my promise there...
Anywho, as the programmer for Jobbold, I'm the one tasked with making the minigames and a lot of the assets for them. The last two minigames you played through were rather simple, with just a painting Penit minigame, and a dumb cat character creator. Though the plan for minigames is that there'll slowly be getting more and more complicated as time goes on. Is it gonna hinder the rate in which we make the routes? Not really, these minigames only take me a whole day to program, and a whole day to draw assets for. I've worked on a couple of other game projects so I often times just reused stuff I've programmed before, saving my ass a lot of time. With the help of our patrons too, it gives us more resources to work with to improve these little minigames. I know I said this last week but every dollar that you donate to us really does help us pack in more and more content. Will it be content you enjoy? I don't fuckin' know. Is it content I'm gonna enjoy? Fuck yeah it is.
These two minigames for day 3 are gonna end up probably being one of our bigger minigames, they're not gonna be super long, but there's gonna be a lot to them. Right now I'm putting in the work to get the minigame for Metermaid kobold done by next week, a song has been commissioned for this minigame from ZeroJanitor (). Here are some of the sprites that are made for the minigame so far, as you can see it's Penit sorrounded by a ton of junk. What does this mean? That's for me to know and you to eventually find out.
Also, I wanted to know how many of our patrons play on their phones or their computer? All these minigames will be able to work on mobile of course but it just helps to know. Anyways, that's the end of this week's update. Next week's update is gonna have to do with something that I haven't thought of yet. So I'm just gonna say the topic of the next update is gonna be like a little surprise that you and I both don't know about.
