News and Concerns - Feb 2019

 - Still worried about our income. We have a new contender, January was officially the worst month we've had financially in 2 years. Down from ($1348) in October, to $812 in January. That's a devastating $536 (40%) less income per month. This month we got a new $100 pledger, which is helpful for now, but we've had high pledges come and go in the past, and I try not to pin hopes on large pledges staying for more than a few months. Which is why I appreciate those of you who do stay. I thought it might be holiday spending
causing people to drop their pledges, but I don't know now. Lina and I are trying a new diet where we only eat 2 meals a day, and we hope to go down to 1 per day eventually (for health benefits as well as financial reasons) so hopefully that helps. Lina's also going to start trying some new business offerings, and I hope they work. December and January were awful, and I hope February sees things turn around.

- Focus on the queue. I made a LOT of progress on my queue last month, and hope this month is just as productive.

- Art Vote is Back
Due to the loss of pledges, I'll be bringing back the art vote and marketing it in hopes of retaining patrons. Though it will be top voted wins, not top 2, as I'm still trying to clear the queue. But I will continue to give extra art to the lower tiers to make up for it.

- Another scary month -  made enough this month on Patreon to pay our rent, thanks to a new high-level pledge and your ongoing support. I am still worried about this. I had 203 Patrons in June. I have 118 now.

- FNAB2 update: Episode 3 was the longest I think I've spent on an episode, and I hope that all my future episodes take far less time. Even with a fully backed up queue that I'm working on, it should only take me 3-4 months per episode at the most. Episode 4 should be another simple one, and it features the Introduction of Melody (from Night 2 of FNAB1), so a few assets are already there to start, even with the feature of a new animation-puppet-design.
