News - April 2020

First, I know it's April fools day, but I want to be clear that I'm not posting any hoaxes/jokes in this letter. I might find another way to celebrate the holiday, but in light of recent events, I don't want anyone doubting the validity of anything here.

- My medical issues
For those who don't know, I've spent the last month in agony with some of the most severe dermatitis I've ever had, and or a longer period without relief than ever. You can read more on that here:  https://www.patreon.com/posts/35412538
I'm continuing to experience the problem, though it has subsided 30-50% in the last 30 hours or so. I have had a couple days like this in March where I thought I was recovering only to have the symptoms return full force later. While I remain hopeful, I'm continuing to treat and monitor the issue, including a doctor visit tomorrow, and continuing detox therapies in the hopes of relief.

I lost more work time than I ever had in the past, and for that I am sorry. In light of the situation, I am not going to attempt to catch up and put more burden on myself in these uncertain times, but count last month as a tragic loss and move on from here. I am going to try my best to do work when I feel well enough to do so, but please bear with me as I continue to recover.

-  Payments are still going though, so if all goes as predicted, we made Rent on Patreon, but not much to spare from there, and last month we came up about $200 short and missed our utility bill deadline, so we're hoping to pay that when the US government relief money comes through. I'll likely post an Easter Sale soon, but we'll see what needs to be done. Currently at 112 pledgers,  $894, which means we lost $6 in pledges since last month.

- Lawsuit: Likely going to file for bankruptcy at some point this year to clear the student loan suit and any tax liability we can't afford. And that filing is likely to cost money (but far less than the debt I can never afford to pay), so I'll be looking into that this month.

- Lina's Business Updates Lina is trying to increase her earnings to take weight off me, as I cannot continue to take commissions the way I do to keep up with what we need.

- Animation update: Right now, we're attempting to get Lina's business income increased. Once that's improved, I won't have to take on so many additional commissions each month. Thus freeing up time to do more with animation and backed up projects. Until then, I'll be doing what I can to make sure I release the required content, even if that means subbing out different projects in the meantime.
