Back to work after major tooth complications
Added 2023-09-29 21:40:03 +0000 UTCHi everyone, I explained what happened last month (depression and other issues destroyed me for about a month).
If you read my FA, you already know; I was just begging to get back to normal, when my other crooked wisdom tooth (the one with the even larger hole in it) went from 'no problem' to '10/10 pain in one day. That was at the start of the month. I spent a week nursing that and prepping for a friend who came to visit mid month, and that was an amazing day (even with the toothache). But then I had to raise funds for my emergency tooth extraction and apply with the office for the "poverty discount", which was a huge ordeal.
Then I went in for the tooth extraction and, though the doctor was really awesome, it was probably the most complicated and unpleasant dental visit I have ever suffered through. It took sooo many extra injections of benzocain and medicine to kill the infection, because every time we thought it was numb enough to pull out the tooth, it wasn't. They finally got it numb and ripped it out. And I was soaked in sweat and physically weak and exhausted like I was in labor. That was on the 21st, and today was the first day I have had where yawning/swallowing wasn't extremely painful. In addition, taking ibuprofen has me covered in painful/itchy eczema lesions. This will go away once I am off the ibuprofen.
But I have finally reached a point where I feel well enough to work.
I am sorry that I missed so much 😓 . Thank you to all of you who have stuck with me.
I am posting a comic sketch I completed today, and hope to have color art and animation updates in October. Wish me a speedy recovery ❤️

Be well! Wisdom tooth extraction is no joke, so take it a lil’ easier for a couple of months even if you feel okay.
