They don’t have to talk about Toronto’s perimeter defense or the 3 point efficiency of teams but some general impressions would be good to hear. It would feel a lot more like we were following the league with Hayes, Sean and Carl if they took some more time to go over what’s currently going on and what they’re enjoying about this season. I remember Carl talking about seeing if he could endure watching a magic/nets game and even something like that could be fun to hear about.

It'd make more sense if it were the off-season, but the NBA season is happening!(!!!!!!) And you all have new favorite teams! Why not discuss what's happening with your teams? Establish particular players on your team who you love/are frustrated by to build a better sense of continuity across eps. I mean, Andy's general obliviousness to the NBA is both shameful and embarrassing, but I think a fair number of subscribers might be in the same boat (although subscribers' lack of NBA awareness is neither shameful nor embarrassing, as they are not being paid to produce an NBA podcast). It would be awesome if this pod could be a gateway for comedy fans to get into the NBA, but I think you need to focus more on what is, like, happening in the NBA. E.g., what are the latest bonkers social media hijinks that players are up to? What team drama subtexts are you picking up on during games? There's no need to Zach Lowe it with technical analysis, but I'd love your own perspective on what is happening each week as the season progresses. Other NBA pods may do this, but other NBA pods do not have the raw comedic power of this fully armed and operational Death Star. PS, love the saga of Jermakin!
