2020-01-31 19:40:13 +0000 UTCGreat ep guys, one thing though, we don't know Carl's current shoe size to complete the journey.

2020-01-31 19:16:10 +0000 UTCVery respectful episode, I also never rooted for Kobe.(kings fan since turn of century). But his work ethic, success on court, and commitment to being a father is beyond admirable. However, before 8 minutes in on the very first flagrant ones, you all mentioning not liking Kobe Now this isn't like a "you guys are mean" but it's again, how important he was to basketball culture and identity that he did touch all our views on basketball. How tragic it is to lose an icon.

2020-01-30 21:07:31 +0000 UTCThey said it best, this tragedy took the wind out of my sails. It strangely helps, in the inundation of coverage of inspiring personal stories about Kobe, to hear from other people who, like most of us, never met him but still need to talk about it. Iβm grateful for the thoughtful, compassionate dissection of a complicated person, phenomenal athlete and adoring father. Canβt say why I needed it so much, but I did. Thanks guys

2020-01-30 19:58:06 +0000 UTCThanks for all the great responses everyone, really glad you enjoyed. Definitely agreed that this was a cathartic episode that helped contextualize the whole situation--the guys were super thoughtful about how to approach the news and I think it shows. Anyway back to dumb stuff and me fucking up next week! Stay flagrant friends

2020-01-30 17:15:38 +0000 UTCFascinating discussion, honestly. And agree with all who said this was necessary and genuine from you guys. Hayes said it best, for better or for worse, Kobe has inspired a whole generation of kids towards success, who wanted to work as hard and play as hard and dominate as much as he did. We lost a really valuable member of society on Sunday. Itβs tragic and the loss of the others makes it worse.

2020-01-30 16:03:47 +0000 UTCThis might sound strange, but one of my first thoughts after hearing the news was "I wander what they're going to do on Flagrant Ones". This show has gotten me so much more into the NBA, it's indelibly tied to my enjoyment of the sport. You made the right call by doing this. Thank you.

2020-01-30 15:40:36 +0000 UTCwholeheartedly agree. The way the Ones grieved was careful, thoughtful, and sublime. I wore a size 8 when Kobe came into the league

2020-01-30 13:22:17 +0000 UTCGuys, this is really just fantastic. You should really even consider making it public/free. One of the best takes on all of this and I think it'll help a lot of people. Thank you.
