The food stamp talk jarred loose a tragic memory from childhood. One day I was riding my bicycle home from football practice and stopped at a Common Cents convenience store to buy a Gatorade (back when they came in glass bottles). I didn't have any pockets so I had decided before practice to tuck the $1 paper food stamp into my sock for safe keeping. But when I tried to retrieve it I discovered that it had disintegrated from all the friction and sweat. I've never been thirstier in my life. Also, on MTV once, Ol' Dirty Bastard took a limo to collect his food stamps which is still one of the funniest things I've ever seen on TV. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bB6EkeWoG2I
