2021-02-18 20:50:30 +0000 UTCReally loving the hockey talk, however I'd just like to add: I think in goal you could probably manage a completely embarrassing but non-zero save percentage with a full defense in front of you. On the other hand, however many goals you think you could score on an NHL goalie, it's too many. You or I would get absolutely fucking clowned on probably every single attempt. I think it's highly likely an NHL goalie would make 1,000/1,000 saves with any of us shooting on them.

We'd play with this guy when i was younger who was a youth player for a 3rd division team in England but got injured out and he'd put on tons of weight, but he'd ruin all of us with ease, barely breaking a sweat and we were pretty good for casual players. That said we also played against a former Tottenham youth player and i saved tons of his shots in a 5 a side game, but then the goal it tiny in that.

2021-02-18 17:52:40 +0000 UTCI also enjoy the hockey speculation IMO if it's two NHL teams playing each other, there will be a number of garbage shots that do indeed just bounce off you or your thingie, and you might get a lucky stop here and there. But no normal human has the ability to anticipate and react to an NHL quality shot when the game is moving at NHL speed. No matter how good your coordination is, the puck is behind you before you know they even shot it.
