My take (which nobody asked for) is that if Spotify wants to profit off Joe, that’s an implicit endorsement of his content. That or they choose to practice no editorial standards, and their customers are free to leave. That’s fine, but it’s totally different than any actual podcasts on their platform that aren’t radio shows directly sponsored by Spotify. If joe Rogan doesn’t want editorial oversight he should go back to selling his own ads and distributing his own media. That’s the nice thing about podcasts. It’s impossible to be “cancelled” because the platform is decentralized as is.

2022-02-11 15:28:24 +0000 UTCif you’re not familiar with him I get accepting his apology cause if nothing else he’s a charismatic actor but every 9 months Rogan has to walk back some hateful corny bullshit that happened on his podcast cause he’s “just asking questions” then 6 weeks later he’ll quietly be back to having on the same old racist/phobic/sexist guests
