Hey man, all Hanford said was "6 million is such a big number how could anyone even count that high??" Anyway, hoping Zion Williamson weighs in on all of this so we can go full circle. (Btw what are his fans called? 😬)

Sean

And here I’ve been going to the Sloppy Boys discord for all my Zionism takes.

Ben McDonald

Hayes’ “all right let’s talk about Antisemitism” transition after the incredible vibes of the first 20 minutes might be the hardest I’ve laughed listening to the boys

Devon Sheridan

never heard of it before but it seems super interesting. I’ll definitely check it out

Patrick

Yo actually I play kratos god of kratom too….

Christian Harder

Please read the Fires in the Mirror you are a worthless human being.

Chalazan

Not surprising to see an anti-Semite defending an anti-Semite.

Chalazan

I sure hope I can solve antisemitism in the Black community by posting in the whitest Patreon comment section I can find. Congrats Sean, very funny commercial.

Dbridge

I had a LeBlast. Sorry trophies had a LeBlast.

Drew Carrymore

Not much more to say honestly. Slandering a black man publicly for what are ultimately root issues of a society that makes living as a black man confusing and scary is just not the answer. His “beacon of light” reflects what many oppressed people who find material success within systems of oppression claim (especially ones that obviously dont read). Im not here to argue that though, just that kyrie irving is not a mentally ill, anti- semite and at the very least point out that this dialogue is within a zone of pathologizing a complicated human being, specifically a black man trying to navigate his perception of a legitimately white supremacist world structure. He’s a human being who does do a lot of good so no, I dont believe we should make it our mission to tear him down. Save that energy for actual bigots and facists. And your issue with my terminology also ignores my point. Zionists are jewish, judiasm represents a distinctive aspect of their support for colonialism. Zionism can even be defined as Jewish supremacist colonialism, so at the end of the day, you would also have a problem with the term “zionists” if we were to follow your logic. The point is to not ignore that judaism has been used, hence why I used the Saudi’s as an example, because its important to identify exactly why they are not the religion the claim, something you cannot do if you ignore the claim in the first place. Im sure you have no problem calling ISIS islamic extremists so what’s different? I know what islam is, im not offended, even though that conjures up images thats been used as justification for genocide against muslims. Im confident in my ability to articulate why exactly their islam is corrupted and any opportunity to do so is an opportunity for increased clarity on what true islam is. The specification opens doors that are ultimately more positive for the faith then if we were to ignore the connection, because we can then articulate better the distinctions between the genuine versus the corrupted. Anti-semitism will not go away by ignoring tough realities. Part of the process is the reclamation of faith which again, cannot be done by rejecting their connection with the faith. Furthermore, in dealing with zionism, its important to examine the root causes, that is, the history of its development. You cannot ignore the presence of judaism in zionist history or else you will simply not understand zionist history, which is only helpful to zionism and harmful to judaism. At some point you have to ask yourself if this “dont say jewish” thing falls under political correctness, at which point I would say this conversation would become unserious as Im obviously attempting to be compassionate and thoughtful, making the policing of my verbiage unnecessary and unproductive. That being said its been a very flagrant convo so far and I do appreciate the dialogue Matt.

Patrick

I take your points though about being quick to smear people as antisemites. Its not a good look. Thats going to be it for me on this conversation. Always "nice" to talk to my fellow fans of The Flagrant Ones Media Llc

See but you aren't saying what Kyrie was saying which was word salad, misguided nonsense. And ultimately yeah maybe he isn't trolling, because its a lil more insidious than that. He thinks he's a "beacon of light" (his words) revealing to the world all these issues which are just redredging long put to bed stereotypes relating to "Jews controlling this or that". And i think youre out of pocket when you say like "ok i dont mean it 'Jewish' in this sense when i mean zionism i mean its like this or that" then like don't call it Jewish anything! It can be Zionist capitalism and Zionist colonialism without dog whistling 700 year old myths about Jews controlling the banking industry

MB

This is one of the greatest episodes!

Nick Thipples

And to address your second point more adequately, I say Jewish in terms of the zionists in the same sense as I would call the Saudi’s muslim. As a muslim myself, I would of course like to say they arent really muslim, but at the end of the day, they are, and they use our faith to justify atrocities. These regimes are specifically propped up by the west to establish and maintain hegemony. Equation of these regimes with their respective faiths they claim to represent is a huge part of this hegemony. Specifying that these people claim to represent their faith while also signaling other commitments (capitalism/colonialism), is meant to convey they do represent said faith, but in obvious contradiction with the tenants of said faith, being ultimately more beholden to the capitalist side of things. Hence I always try to specify my terms so I never equate zionism with judiasm, but I also dont want to ignore the co-option of the jewish faith which is a distinctive feature of their support for colonialism/capitalism.

Patrick

For Matt Brown: Firstly, a black man being publicly smeared as anti-semetic, compared to kanye, and called mentally ill, is by no means an adequate reaction to what you perceive as trolling but what others would call antagonizing white people who ultimately cling to white supremacy in one way or another. The “jewish” interest groups (I agree, ashekanazi capitalists don’t represent the jewish faith) represent a portion of this group of white people. I think its just not smart to hop on their bandwagon because you maybe dont have the historical perspective to be able to say why exactly what kyrie was saying was wrong. If we were to actually interrogate what he said instead of throwing blanket condemnations, we can get to the root of his misunderstandings and move forward in a productive way instead finding ourselves as a mouthpiece for zionist organizations. This is why screaming “anti-semitism” has been such a useful tool for zionists and other pro-capitalist jewish interest groups; it shuts down what could be a productive paths towards understanding and justice.

Patrick

This fucking rules. Congratulations, Sean!

Dustin

'Villian Era'. It is extremely important to call out inconsequential typos.

Conor Beales

Just gotta say this, Kelsey’s hair always looks great

patpower

WAIT NM ABOUT THE THIRD EYE THING LOL

Quinn

i have a problem with what you are calling a "european-jewish" proximity to whatever. Many many early zionists in Western europe hated Jews and used the movement to promote moving the Jews out of Europe and as an excuse to colonize the Near-east. And in to today you see people who don't care about Jewish people love the State of Israel for awful reasons. So like, what are you saying here with "european-Jewish proximity to capitalist colonial power" when the actual Jewish power structure isn't really that Jewish at all

MB

Yeah maybe but also kyrie going out of the way to be an incorrigible troll and antisocial is i think a sign that he's not entirely well. For me its not that deep. He's a narcissist and unwell and the fact that he cant help but regurgitate whatever "secret knowledge" hes in to ATM can be dangerous, esp in the context of antisemitism.

MB

Damn my name’s Quinn, and I listen to the show. My third eye is WEEP-ING

Quinn

Please read The Fire Next Time by James Baldwin to see why exactly black people identify other non-africans (in the book’s context, white people) as “the devil”. Its rooted in an undeniable reality that’s deserving of a compassionate, empathetic study.

Patrick

lastly, the ADL is a pro zionist organization that says advocacy for Palestinian human rights is anti-semetic. $1million going to them as a result of this is a perfect example of how little nuance and care for human life the reaction to this has carried. Blanket condemnations cloud from the facts and can ultimately distract from more hidden (and foundational) manifestations of anti semitism that will continue to linger if we dont interrogate european-jewish (much like saudi-muslim) proximity to capitalist colonial power.

Patrick

stumbling through the history of european jewish proximity to colonial capitalist power (learning through amazon prime is ridiculous) cannot be compared to right wing threats of violence against jewish people as a whole and should not be seen a sign of mental illness, just poor research on a difficult and complex subject.

Patrick

comparing kyrie to kanye is some childish stuff. saying the original hebrews were african cannot be compared to going “defcon 6 on jewish people”

Patrick

That's so cool congrats Sean!

Quimberton Mullrooney

my guess for travoltafy was Stewed Wonton
