This was the first time I re-watched a movie in advance of the SO discussion, and I was kind of put off by the fact that no mention was made of how dated and frankly weird and slapstick the treatment of a Trans character was handled? Like to me, this seemed sooooooo dated and it was hammered upon many times, like okay??? But also, what??? It just felt so weirdly outdated, and like it was used for cheap laughs?
