Adaptation blew my little 15 year old mind and ibformed a lot of my ideas about writing and making art. I'm stoked that its the first movie you're covering on the first podcast about movies ever.

All of chandler's stuff rocks, the book Raymond Chandler Speaking is a collection of his essays and letters and one of the things he says to people a lot is 'i thought this was all dime novel garbage that no one would read past the first week the book was for sale, its insane to me anyone is still reading it' which is such a cool and funny attitude to have about having written the best noir detective fiction of all time.

Sneakaboard

Yeah, I loved this. And I love this movie. Also, I read ‘Antkind’ because Anthony Jeselnik recommended it on his pod. It’s both great and too much.

Jordan Newmark

Started reading “The Long Goodbye” based on Sean’s passing suggestion and it fucks

Sam

Just reminded me of the Board Game night ep.

Sneakaboard

Loved it. There are flashes of this in like 10% of HH episodes where they accidentally start doing the original premise of the show with some level of sincerity and it’s always amazing and I have always secretly wished they would do more of this. Bummed that Hayes isn’t in every episode, but already excited for the inevitable Bang episode about his piss-drinking robot movie for Apple.

While it looks like the other commenters didn't really get this podcast....I thought it was very good. And hey.....introducing Harvard Sean!

Jacob Stock

This was such a great inaugural episode! I hope the inside baseball writing stuff continues; all jokes about there being no other movie podcasts aside, this angle really does feel totally unique.

Stephen David Miller

Not enough people distill adaptation to “a movie about a guy with mental problems”

Christian

Can't wait for them to tackle Steven King lol

James Debo

Is this going to be in the FO feed or does it have its own?

Dan Krzykowski
