Though a big time investment, it's a surprisingly good show, and worth watching. Unlike AppleTV's bigger hit, Hijack, which I can't tell if Sean loves or hates but is definitely bad.

2023-08-10 14:31:05 +0000 UTCOh man as a DMV native: - DC is the dorkiest city in the country. These are people who did debate team AND model UN. No wonder the big sports are the dorky ones. DC people are scared of basketball. - MCI Center - Verizon Center - Capital One: I was there at the groundbreaking in the middle of Chinatown. My best friend's mom was a Karaoke DJ and involved with a DC Taiwan-American cultural association that hosted the event. They pulled Marion Barry out of bed, gave him a couple dexedeine, and pushed him up on stage. He just keeps saying 谢谢, getting a cheer, mumbles something incoherent, back to the top. My friend and I carried a banner for his mom's business in the parade that followed - I was the only white boy on that route. - As far as gentrification, national harbor did us way dirtier than MCI. Bunch of great gay bars replaced with fucking WeWork. You used to be able to see the dancers' whole hogs if you went to the right place.
