that’s a nice egalitarian idea

I love this podcast and the discourse of differing opinions and experiences. I would love to hear the boys thoughts on the addictive qualities of friction-less gambling. New studies out of Sweden suggest that this new style of super-accessible, super-easy gambling is about as addictive as heroin for some. Might be too dour to discuss... Keep up the amazing work!

The opposite though, right? I was thinking just use the actual seeds w the same system you suggest. So you don't need to sort out all 16. ..They pick before or after the play-ins tho 🤔

Deeply respect and appreciate Carl’s hatred for every white star player, no matter their gender

Another fun version of betting on a lopsided playoffs is a confidence pool: Assign points 1 through 16 for each NBA playoff team Receive that number of points each time that team wins a game 16 points = team you think will win the most 1 point = team you think will win the least Most points at the end of the playoffs wins

I love this podcast so much. Thanks for laughs my dudes.

I don’t think playoff seeding by record alone (no conferences) will ever happen. It’s a nice egalitarian idea but the conferences/divisions exist for the main purpose of regular season game scheduling. Majority of games are played in division or in conference. So if you get rid of that, then you will have a chaotic regular season schedule with teams criss crossing the country every week. And if you keep the current scheduling as is, but just make playoffs with no conference divide, then it wouldn’t be fair to teams that play in more competitive divisions/conferences.
