2024-12-05 04:08:03 +0000 UTCHell yeah, no problem! I have the oxo *mini* cold brew maker but I’m sure the big one works the same. Two more small tips: you can tell the coffee shop barista to grind it for cold brew or just use the “coarse” grind setting at the grocery store grinder on some whole beans. Pre-ground coffee is almost always way too fine. Also: resist the urge to mix it together after you pour water in. Usually there’s some grounds floating on top that will still be dry at first, but they *will* sink and the flavor/consistency comes out better when you let it soak undisturbed

It’s like $30 and it takes maybe a total of 5 minutes of work (including draining and cleaning) to produce a week’s worth of concentrate. If you like the Blue Bottle/New Orleans style: mix a dark roast and a light roast, add chicory root (available at whole foods) at a 1:5 ratio, two cinnamon sticks and a lil salt 👌 But even Trader Joe’s $5 whole bean bag makes solid cold brew
