PATRON UPDATE: 3DO reflections + what's next?

Howdy Patrons!

I hope this update finds you well. I wanted to let the last video simmer before I wrote up another one of these, and all I can say is: woah.

When I started working on the 3DO video, I had NO idea whether it'd do well or flop entirely. Of course, when I have a compulsion to make a video, I'm gonna follow through in spite of those fears, but there's always a little voice in the back of my head saying "this is too niche", "people don't care about this subject", etc. I'm real happy to say that not only were those fears unfounded, but they were MONUMENTALLY UNFOUNDED.

3DO RPGs has been my best performing video within the time period, and it's not even close. I guess it was just lightning in a bottle and I couldn't be happier with the response! I really appreciate you guys watching, sharing, giving me feedback - all that good stuff. Of course, the reason I can pursue videos where the subject matter is so odd is because you all provide me with a baseline level of support here, so thank you for that. Producing this vid has been some of the most fun I've ever had writing & editing, so it's a big relief knowing that people might be interested in similarly styled videos.

In the meantime, I've been starting a few different videos & brainstorming ideas. The next video I'll be making will be a double review/analysis of Koudelka & Shadow Hearts. I was actually going to cover Koudelka back when I first started my channel, but I lost all of my footage and put a pin in it. I'm really looking forward to returning to the game because, as my note-taking document indicates, I've got a lot to say about it. As for Shadow Hearts, I've had so many people recommend this game to me or otherwise show interest in a video on it, I feel this is a great opportunity to kill two birds with one stone. I will likely cover the rest of the series at some point, though perhaps not immediately following this next video. Variety being the spice of life and all that.

I know a few of you had recommended either or both of these games at some point to me in the comments of other posts, so I hope this update gives you some joy. Your voice has power here!
