depends on the CPU. Some CPUs work best with default PLLs others don't work above 6800 without changing the PLLs.

is it nessesery to mess with pll voltages is that important (can they be on auto)

HanVengyy

Good deal. I’ll slowly start upping them to see if I can get it stable. Thanks again for all you do

Kevin Crooks

anything less than 150 should be safe. However optimal settings can be anywhere from 0 to 150 depending on CPU

Actually Hardcore Overclocking (Buildzoid)

Gotcha. I got all 4 set to 120. What’s considered safe on those voltages?

Kevin Crooks

try fiddling with PLL voltages since they are CPU specific and your CPU probably needs different ones from mine.

Actually Hardcore Overclocking (Buildzoid)

Really awesome write up! I tried these same settings with same mobo, 13900k, and 16gb x 2 gskill 7200 Hynix a sticks. Still not stable at 7200 but closer than before. 6800 is max I can get stable. What can I change to help maybe get this stable?

Kevin Crooks

I have a 13600KF but I suppose the voltages and timings would be different at 6800. I’m not good at all at that kind of stuff 😁

KaiserAlucard

with a 13th gen maybe but 6800 is a safer bet

I have an Asus Tuf Z690 Plus, you think it has what it takes?

KaiserAlucard

yes but I'd expect a lot of Z690 boards to struggle to reach 7200

Actually Hardcore Overclocking (Buildzoid)

Can these be used on a Z690 motherboard?
