Since YouTube forced me to shelve my Persona video and keep it in limbo for an unspecified amount of time, it also means I've had to throw out ideas for the Gunsmith Cats review. Both of these, and the unreleased Unbeatable video, will be released at a later point in time.
For now though, my next video is another look at Helluva Boss, which I'm sure some of you have wanted for about a year now. It'll be a review of every episode that's released since Episode 5 and going over how much the show has improved and how much its grown on me. This is both a video I'm making with passion and should also hopefully throw me back into the algorithm, potentially helpign me gain some traction on the Persona video so YouTube doesn't kill it and punish me with sub loss.
In terms of RETROSPECTIVES, I've got two in the works:
1) Amphibia.
My most requested video. Period. I get comments every week asking me to review Amphibia, and have been getting them since 2020. Now that the show is over, it seems fitting to finally give it the review it deserves. This video will likely take a while to script and edit, and I'm suggesting a September release at the earliest, but know that it is coming and I am working on it.
2) Steven Universe.
This is prep for next year, when Steven Universe turns 10 years old. I've written the introduction for the video, but serious production won't start until around the end of the year. I've had a lot of complex feelings when it comes to Steven Universe, and recent rewatches have proven that it's a show I can never truly hate in spite of its flaws. This retrospective will look at what made the show so captivating, while going over its fatal flaws in a calm and orderly manner, something I haven't seen much of from a lot of video essays on the show's decline.
Hope this is all well and good, expect the Helluva Boss video next Friday assuming nothing goes wrong and life is all sunshine and rainbows. Cheers, and thanks for the patience.
