Hope you all enjoyed the latest video. Now down to business: The Amphibia Retrospective.
I have planned out what I'm gonna write and now it's time to create a draft. I have absolutely no idea if this video will be insanely long or not. I'm hoping to keep it at a comfortable hour and not go overboard but sometimes I just can't help myself. There's a lot that I wanna say when it comes to Amphibia, and I hope the video does very well. I am to cover the characters, their arcs, Amphibia's themes, how it structures and paces its plot, etc. I will be releasing a teaser trailer for the video in the coming weeks and it'll just be a cute little AMV to announce to people on YouTube that it's happening. (I've been getting requests for this video since early 2020, you guys better watch it lmao)
Second order of business, projects outside the Amphibia Retrospective. I planned to do a video covering the HBO Max fiasco but that shit's done and dusted and everyone knows at this point, nothing I say will add anything to the conversation. For the time being I'm focusing strictly on the Amphibia video, but for videos AFTER that, well, if the Amphibia Retrospective does well, I will rerelease the Persona Retrospective shortly after. (You can still find a link to the unlisted version of the video on a previous post and on my Discord server). The Unbeatable review is still up in the air and I wanna make an adjustment or two due to new people being added to the game's crew that I wanna give credit to. They also added a bunch of new "Starmaps" that I wanna talk about. Rest assured, I am determined to upload the Unbeatable review this year.
Original projects that I plan to do after the Amphibia video is finished include the following:
1) A video covering the treatment of animation by streaming services - This is basically a combination of the HBO Max video with some other instances of horseshit courtesy of Netflix.
2) A video covering every Powerpuff Girls revival in the wake of a newly announced one - This one may be scrapped but it's exactly what it sounds like.
3) A review of Primal - Self explanatory again.
4) The Steven Universe Retrospective - A video exploring how I learned to love Steven Universe again while still pointing out the show's massive issues. Not so much a defence but an honest look at the show's quality contrasted with my own personal feelings as a former fan of the show. This video will be worked on at a later date and is aiming for early 2023.
Hope all of this suffices. I'll try to stay in touch while I write the Amphibia video. For now though, thank you once again for your incredible patience.
