2021-10-17 05:03:20 +0000 UTCMan I went to this game last night. They look really good. Curry was ridiculous! I am concerned about Looney. Maybe that's just me. He really didn't look good. Iggy coming back has added leadership composure to the second unit. You can see his benefit. As you commented Belicia was so bad on defense lol. The crowd was absolutely noticing. Warriors as a whole need to tighten up the defense. All in all they do look good and I am excited for the season.

I've got Billips on my coach of the year ballot already if he makes the Blazers a good defensive team. Who got the second two way? Last year I had Phoenix as the surprise team and Halliburton as ROY. This year I have the Bulls and Kuminga in those spots. I expect him to have a breakout game in December, 25 pts. and 12 rebounds. I think Draymond/Bjelica/Looney can do an adequate job on any big man. Dray certainly handled Nurkic last night. There will be times when they get dominated but they bring other assets that make up for their liabilities.

He has a lot of intangibles that really seem to work and he's not really a small guard either. He plays bigger than he looks at times. I really enjoy him coming back from that subpar Lakers game and doing some good work in this Blazers game. To think he's only 18-bodes well for the future.

2021-10-16 20:39:13 +0000 UTCI see Bjelica as our version of 2018 Rockets Ryan Anderson, where he’ll be a big who stretches the floor from deep and help a lot in the regular season but may be difficult to keep on the floor in the playoffs due to the amount of pick and roll that’s played- especially of elite ball handling/backcourt teams. But for the regular season the vet bench seems perfect to catch teams off guard with their constant cutting and passing.

That way we still have flexibility to use the MLE for the buyout market and we have a defensive stopper at guard until Klay returns. And if worst case nothing pans out on the buyout market we just retain GP2. Really like the idea of Favors on the roster though
