When playing a video game where you have pass certain levels, you always meet someone who has 1 style/trick that you have to figure out. A fighter who has one devastating kick, or a tennis player with a thunder serve, or pitcher with a nasty fastball. Once you passed that level, it's like your skill had been raised. I see Memphis like that. You learn how to deal with a big team. So once the Lakers come at full strength, you already know how to solve that. And GPII probably gonna watch film on how to guard someone like Ja better. So when he meets Kyrie, he'll have a better idea how to slow him down. Just like the first championship.... they had to solve Memphis, and then whoop some behind in the next rounds. Thanks for the Xmas breakdown Alch! We have super dynamic finishing lineups. Honestly I'd always want GP2 in my final lineup. One of the few on our team that is a guaranteed bucket in the dunker's spot if the defense breaks down. And we've all seen him put the dagger on DEFENSE in games.

Man Ja is a nightmare of a player, I've haven't seen any player be able to get past GP2 at all and Ja was doing it at will last night. His ball handling is extremely difficult to read and then he's got a freak quickness and athleticism, 3 years from now in his prime he's going to be the best point guard in the league

Seeing that Looney screen laying out Brooks made me think. Is this team kind of soft? I don't mean crumble under pressure soft, we're definitely not that type, but there's no enforcer that the other team has to keep an eye on. In the past if a defender hit Steph's legs on a 3, or was holding him too much Bogut or West would take a foul to put them on the ground with a crushing moving screen. If someone was getting too chippy Matt Barnes or Zaza would hit them with an "accidental" elbow to the face. Not advocating seriously injuring anyone of course, but it's nice to have someone to make the other team think twice about starting shit. Sure Looney might throw a screen like last night but that's rare. The closest thing is Bjelica, and he's not quite the same as the OG's I listed.

I was at this game for redemption from the last game that I went to which was the previous Griz game lol. My friend and I were saying how we were lacking a mid range threat because Steph really doesn't shoot that too well. There were some examples in the game where he attempted the mid range shot but didn't go in. But hey, maybe Loon could be the mid range threat that we sorely miss from not having Livingston anymore haha. Ja is scary irky jerky with his moves. He's like a Jordan Poole with his acceleration and desire to twist and turn but with a lot more finesse and deception as you said. I was facing one of the hoops during the game (granted.. very high up LOL) so could kind of see the angles and movements of guys going in for the shot. His movements seem rather unnatural when you view it live. I couldn't even begin to figure how how to read his weird movements and that tenacity to drive into the net. So I can see how that could be super hard to guard. Not gonna lie, I went into the game thinking that I'd be witnessing another loss again. You are correct about the Grizz's early shooting percentage. The jumbotron said they were at 70ish percent fg percentage. Oh, but what I was making fun of was the Warriors free throw percentage. It was reading something like 70 percent for a good chunk of the game, and we all know that Steph was at 100 percent, so everyone else must have been shooting at like.. 10 percent LOL... that needs to get worked on for sure!. Great game. Was feeling pretty good after that last night haha. :)
