That shot makes me want the dubs to nab him at 7 but yeah, I hear you on the guard version of Looney, which makes me totally agree that 14 is the place to grab him if he still on the board. Before this video my impression was good on defense and a good knock down shooter. After this video I am not so sure. What he is good at now can help the warriors if he can bring the intensity on defense. Not that it should take getting to the NBA to play better/try harder on defense but perhaps this will occur. Not the high upside you would expect at 7 but regardless of draft position will he be a rotation guy in 3 years and does he fit with the current roster. If there is anyone to teach him handles and a defensive motor its steph and dray. Plus if he is told that in order to crack the lineup you NEED defensive effort. I view his path similar to Jordan Poole. JP is clearly not a lock but he isnt getting exposed as much and his time in the G league really helped developed his attention to detail on the defensive end. I wont be mad if he ends up on our roster. I think the expectation is to get 2 solid rotational players for years to come at 7 & 14 and as fans we need to temper our expectations a bit. We are not getting 2 superstars. We just need super star role players.

Interesting, could make the point the Dubs system + Draymond turned Wiggins from a potentially good defender/low motor guy to a great defender, so maybe same could be said for Moody?

Nice breakdown! I've been questioning why he seems to be the W's fan favorite at #7. I just don't see it. Couple that slowness with a ho-hum 3 point shooting percentage in college for a supposed sniper? Hard pass. I'm sure these breakdowns take a lot of time and time is running out, but I'd love to hear your takes on: Mitchell, Giddey, Jalen Johnson, and even Sengun. It's not often we get two lotto picks so I hope you have the time. Keep up the great work!

what do you think about an alec burks type comparison? similar stats in college for both + similar pull-up game with slightly unorthodox shot (moody's shooting pocket is on his left side, even though he shoots right). that's what worries me

Love the scouting report. Definitely tempered my expectations of him. I feel like unless we can get a projected top 6 talent, what we pick up at 7 will feel underwhelming while what we take at 14 will feel like a steal. Looking forward to more scouting videos to come!
