2024-04-05 01:51:23 +0000 UTCI know its an important time of the season, but im wondering about a topic not mentioned enough: dunkins. I mean SLAMDUNKS! Shaq style. Watching the game i see washington doing it or gafford and it kind of gets me fired up. The slam without the need to use it is an artform to me. It seems like we dont have that on our roster. Kuminga would be capable, but he has a smoother style. Wiggins could too, but he prefers the layup. Gp2 is probably the only one going for it sometimes. Is it a question of preference or does even the staff advise to not do it? I think it can get the crowd going and i would love to see more of it.

Moody as a starter has an impact on your defense being as switchable as possible at POA and offensively gives you similar to what Klay would this year, and it make more sense for Podz to be on the bench with CP as a second ball-handler.

Podz plays well in the starting lineup but the reason he’s on the bench for Klay right now is because he wasn’t scoring so Kerr clearly wants an offensive option in the sg position. The idea of there only being one basketball should be the same now then, with Klay out there these past 10 games.

2024-04-04 03:13:05 +0000 UTCWell put. These last couple games have really shown what was wrong all season. The bench and kids aren’t doing anything new. It’s Draymond & Wiggs. If those two had been at this level all season, this team would be in legitimate chip contention. That’s why the FO, Steph & Kerr must feel so defeated by this season. They got all the hard parts right - bench, CP, JK, Mood, TWO startable rookies - and the “dependable” guys blew it.

Podz facilitates the offense and defense of the others. Moody we need to be able to create for that 2nd unit. For 2nd unit, I like CP3, Mood, Klay, JK, TJD

On the Klay "travel" he gets pushed as he's catching the ball too; they don't call that but call Kyrie for the foul on the Draymond contest which looked pretty vertical to me

I feel like a major issue all year has been the core 3's inability to feed anyone else except Klay/steph, and right now there's a healthy rhythm with them understanding that feeding Wiggins is crucial to their success. So I'm a little worried that JK coming back will be too much "feeding others" for the core 3's ego to stomach. I would bring JK off the bench for awhile and keep TJD in the starting lineup, maybe until the playoffs. We really need "impact" players to constantly balance the lineups so the core 3 getting trigger-happy doesn't lead to huge lapses. And I think JK might be beyond a pure "impact player" at this point.

Because you're absolutely right, Dubs wins and losses have been heavily dictated by what type of Wiggins showed up - but maybe that's because they've mentally depended on him being the guy who was who helped him win the title - especially defensively.

They all want to be another Don or Joker. I’d like to see how Topic will develop although I suspect he will play hard both ways…

It was just 1 game ago against San Antonio Andrew had 4 points and it was so transparent Cruise Control Wiggs had shown up Steve held his minutes to 22 for the night. Wiggins is a schizophrenic player - we gotta stop blaming the pieces around him for this fact. How a player with this much god given talent, coming off a recent championship as the 2nd option has to get moved to the bench to be motived into producing is beyond wild.

Just bc we 'unlocked' something with Dray at the 5 doesn't mean you can play that all year long. Dray is prob best next to TJD for many of his minutes. And then you can't have Wiggs and Kuminga with enough ball touches. Seems like one of them has to go. also too bad that they need desperation to play this well. They couldn't put enough consistent play and consistent finishing of games throughout the year. Very unlikely they get out of the playin as the 10th seed

Just watching one guy dribble dribble dribble until he takes a tough jumper or kicking it out last minute to open guy is just boring basketball. Then there's his effort on the defensive end, which I just find digusting. He opens up his hips to invite a drive to the rim because he doesn't want to expend any effort sliding with his man. I can't deny the man's talent, but man it is tough to sit through.

2024-04-03 20:44:21 +0000 UTCAwesome win, pulls all the pressure off the friday night back to back for the guys and they can play free knowing they got 1/2 against Dallas Two quick takes though - 1) Moody been so much better now that he has been in the rotation consistently and I dont think thats the a coincidence there. Shots dropping and his defense is been great 2) I think Luka is 3rd in the MVP race because people just dont like him. Like imagine if SGA or Durant or whoever was getting the numbers he has, it would be like book it - that guy has already won the MVP but damn its so hard to watch luka after so many plays just act like a spoiled kid.
