Gui wasn't given enough reps to be someone Kerr will call on in the playoffs. I'd be surprised to see either of them, barring injuries.

Bam is tricky, he seems to always be a big plus out there & real good decision maker. Think it depends on how the rest of the heat is lookin. Jokic is Jokic. Don't think there's many out there to slow him down. The players around him all have big strengths & knows how to capitalize on them

2024-04-12 21:32:17 +0000 UTCTJD is much more athletic than Sabonis, more switchable, not as strong..yet.., and TJD needs to start shooting from the dotted. Just give me a 6-9 footer. Bam has that mid range that he kills teams with. Bam went 14th in 2017 (a steal). Sabonis went 16 in 2016 (solid pick) TJD fell to us because he doesn't shoot, and I think he develops a shot from inside the key in a year or two, but then Loon always had that and they never used it.... And just compare how well he sets picks, rolls perfectly, finishes well, blocks shots, has awesome hands, blocks out, fights for rebounds, plays great D, passes well, and is just strong physically and mentally. I love the guy. I'll say this just for fun. Every single thing I just mentioned were absolutely impossible for Wiseman to do, and that SOB costs us a number 2!!.

Maybe he didn't anticipate the timeout and was trying to get him a quick rest. Doing it before the time out bought him literally a few seconds

2024-04-12 20:09:10 +0000 UTCI think Dario is slightly better on defense than Gui at this point, and a more proven 3 point shooter. Gui jumps at everything, at least Dario is more fundamental. If we needed one of them in the playoffs, I think we need Dario's shooting more than Gui's hustle

2024-04-12 19:47:39 +0000 UTCI like your TJD comp, I'd say he'll probably be a little worse than Sabonis on offense and a little worse than Bam on defense, but when you put that together that's a hell of a player. Sabonis seems more willing to put his back to the basket and score, although ik TJD has that in his bag from his Indiana days, and he's a rook playing a role with us. And then I think Bam is slightly more switchable, but TJD's perimeter D has been a revelation.

Kerr will just never trust a guy like Gui when so many vets are sitting, his mentality is "I must use the vets I DO have", and I'm sure some of that comes from keeping vet egos happy. I should just be glad we didn't see the "Doony" lineup again. Also, goddamn, if JK took himself out with a nasty fall right before the playoffs, I'd say trade his ass out of sheer anger, lol.
