Watched Chicago today. Maybe Kobe White would pair with Steph. Kuminga and a contract (GP2) for White and maybe a crappy pick? If no takers for Wiggins this summer, that’s the kind of roster manipulation that might make sense.

No GP2. No Kuminga. Back-to-back game. Against sneaky shooters and the league's #1 perimeter defenders.
Alc's motto is "Know Your Personnel". The Warriors coaching staff doesn't even know their own squad. The decision making and game planning this season has been so WEIRD.

Last year with kuminga, this year with trace. Then people next year will say kerr’s a genius for sitting trace and “developing “ him. I almost think we won because egg head coach brown in 2022.

The turnovers. That’s our Achilles’ heel. I’m not sure how many games we would’ve won this season if we had that under control. At least six more games.

I agree that we got bullied last night, especially during the second-quarter turnover fest. I felt the entire team was shocked by how athletic and active the Pelicans were defensively and were not mentally prepared. This led to risky passes in small passing windows, which inevitably caused the turnovers. On top of that, what frustrated me even more was using Podz too much and TDJ too little. I assume Kerr used Podz over TJD to prioritize perimeter defense, given how hot the Pelicans were, but Trey Morphy at 6'8 and Herb Jones at 6'7, I doubt going small was the right choice, even statistically.

was at this game in person and draymond was doing his job it felt like but our guards were sinking down to low on shooters letting the get hot and step looked slow and tired. but thats just my take in person having not seen the footage so now will watch the breakdown and will be interesting to see if they line up will be a hard one to watch again tho.

Man, you should be up for a coaching job w the dubs.
I don’t understand how this franchise allows the coaching staff to make the same fucking mistakes for multiple seasons. They should be like some of the best coaches in the world, right? I know I wouldn’t have a job if I fucked up the same things on a regular basis for two years straight.

Not playing TJD last night was unforgivable. Kerr with the most brain-dead decision this year.
Watch TJD stand on the side line next to his seat the entire 4th quarter.

Many games where Jokic, Trae or Luka turn the ball 7 times but their assist to TO ratio seems to be better. This year Steph is not playing particularly well. We are as good with him on the floor vs when he’s on the bench. Part of it is lack of trust in younger players. Therefore hero ball and blown up leads…

TOs killed again. For all the skilled players: Luka, Jokic, Kyrie, Tae Young, why only Steph has TOs like this game. You seldom see any skilled players has so much careless turnovers like Steph does. And normally when you aged, you turnover less but not with Steph. That is why he can’t be Goat PG, he will be Top 5 and Goat Shooter, but not Goat point guard.

Every player seemed to have a double edge sword kind of night, but the coaching staff and Kerr just frustrate me beyond belief. The off-ball movement is cute, but it never holds water when things get tough and I've been tired of seeing it as the end all be all since 2016. Not to mention Kerr's inability to adjust in-game is just baffling, how does losing Ron Adams make Kerr completely unaware of how to manage our defense, our spatial awareness on O and D are untenable. Regarding GP2, like you said it's probably over, but Christ, just like with Looney, he should not be a heavy minutes guy, you have to protect them from themselves, he should be the one getting short bursts instead of Mood.

Alch, I disagree about Steph playing more true PG going forward. It leads to traps and turnovers. He needs to be paired with a tall alpha point guard that can take care of the ball and reduce Steph’s load. Someone in the mold of Lamelo Ball or maybe Dejounte Murray.

Pretty spot on point re the coaching staff. Never really thought about it all that much because of other issues, but man the staff is bad. Not just Kerr, but the whole staff. Like how do we still, in GAME 81, have guards as our backline defenders? I get that ties in with the size issue, but man it's painful to watch lol. Coaching gotta improve somehow if we ever want to win again.

He's stubborn and can't see the other side of things. I'm not sure the 11 other coaches have the balls to say anything meaningful to him. Did you see Atkinson on camera coaching Kuminga who was in street clothes?
And, yeah...I agree. Draymond is too taxed by playing center. The coaches should look past his pride (and theirs of playing small ball) and give the minutes to TJD. Dubs should also find a 7 footer who can grab rebounds, set bone crushing picks, and shoot. IDK...Valunchiunas is a FA this offseason.

I think the reason why Zion is so good at avoiding charges is that his preference is to finish around people rather than through people. When you are so much stronger than your peers, you don't really want to hurt them and you develop this habit from a young age. I know this bc I am exactly the same. I'm much stronger than people I play bb with and I always try to finish around people. Partly bc I don't want to be called all body no skill andpartly bc I don't want to hurt others

What is not said explicitly here and other places: Curry's SEVEN turnovers. We lost the game on these turnovers, lack of any shot attempts by Draymond, and again...questionable coaching decisions by Kerr.
In a must win game against another former GS coach, the ball should have been in CPs hands and not Curry's. We knew they'd blitz and double Steph and we knew the footwear was garbage. We should expect the same doubles from the Kings, the Nuggets, the Pels, and any coach that has played with GS. Call me crazy, but it feels like CP3 should be running point, Curry as 2G, Klay at 3 or SF. The clock should have been run all the way down with a play in mind or call the time out and set one.
I don't know how many clips there are from Kerr's post game interviews where he talks about losses from turnovers in the first and second quarter and praises Draymond on what was a lackluster performance. It's getting really really really old. Draymond made five 3s against the Lakers, rested a night and can't take one shot during an entire game? I don't see the coaching logic in all of this. If they won, sure...different story.
Separately, I am thankful they did not bring in Dario. I would have lost my shit last night if that happened.

It's hilarious nobody asked kerr about trayce post game. Between the media, a part of this fan base and even the players and staff seems like nobody will hold kerr accountable for being the worst coach in the nba this year lol. Gotta remember all it took for kuminga and tjd to even get consistent minutes. Cp3 has no purpose on the court with steph especially late in games. Kerr doesn't value rim protection nor athletes who can score easy points. He thinks small guards means good offense and switchabiltiy. As far as podz goes, I think he is solid but moody clapping at him I think comes from how podz carries himself on the floor. If u watch him he consistently tries to show up his teammates and is feeling himself way too much. Kerr needs to go

I'm not *too* mad at this loss. I actually really enjoy watching the pelicans play. And Zion is both hilarious and amazing at hoops.
But we lost this one in Portland. Perhaps the most cynical Kerr has ever been, in choosing to not sit Steph when we know that the entire team (ESPECIALLY Wiggs) psychologically mirrors #30 whenever they see him in the starting lineup. And he did not have it whatsoever. So what made us think he would have juice last night?
I still have faith in this team if we get the right luck in seeding but I also believe in "fractals". And just like you said about the comeback last night, Alc: "This late run here was just giving us false hope." Sorta feels like all these small cynical choices are gonna add up to be the big picture of a "false hope" for the franchise.
Also, loved the urkel to stefan line lmao 🤣

if we stay with dray and klay with steph regressing(you said it earlier in the season. I didn't take it seriously but you're right unfortunately), this team is on it's way to being trash for the next 2-3 seasons. our starting lineup has 2 shooters, 2 non shooters and a fake shooter in wiggins. we're just not good enough bruh. it's over. I still thank God to this day cuz Curry's legacy without that 4th ring would look hella sus in retrospect considering how good KD too was in his prime

You have to respect the fight to compete all season by the guys. I thought Dario would've been better for us this season. Maybe he would've if we had actual size around him. I'm excited for and expecting a massive leap from Kuminga this off season as well as Trayce. But how much does the trio digress? This year proves that Steph can still lead us to a chip but NOT by being superman anymore. He needs a #2 and I honestly believe Kuminga can be that next year with very realistic growth.

Man I’m sorry kerr hand his hands all over this lose ! Why didn’t he stay with the trace draymond lineup ?! Is he senile !? We all saw it was working. I just can’t with him anymore . Also, I don’t think Steph’s legs aren’t tired he’s still coming off that injury . From now until this shits over trace and draymond need to be tied at the hip with their minutes . The plus minus with them in the game has got to be really good . Draymond is too old to play center . It was a 3 point game when trace checked out, what happened after that ? The coaching of this game made me SO angry
