So I saw a Warriors "tea leaves" pod pop up on YouTube VIP 2 days ago -- you said that what you post there was also available here on Patreon, but I can't see that. Is that only for the VIP tier here or something? I would want to watch that.

On the other hand, WTF is Milwaukee going to do? Because it looks like they are dysfunctional as currently constructed.
Giving away one of the top perimeter defenders when those guys are at a premium was a huge strategic blunder.

Yeah that's going to be the problem with him going forward. Amazing offensive player and kudos to him for leading the Mavs to the Finals, but he's a traffic cone on defense.

Man...as great as Luka is offensively, he's very bad on D. I know he's a bit hurt, but gotta do better.
I wanna give JT props though. He's getting a lot of slack for his low scoring so far, but I think he's done a great job in every other area, he just relies way too heavily on jumpers. He's a lot like PG in that way IMO. I actually saw a stat that his PPP on jumpers have gone down each of the last 4 years in the playoffs, which is odd at his age, but I think he's due for a big scoring night.
Speaking of that amazing back court defense though, imagine what Harper, MJ, Pip and Rodman would look like in this era? Sheesh lol

Lively especially looks hesitant and like a rookie now and you can see he has no counter no second level to his game.

This definitely proves that if any team wants to be a contender, they can only be running one guy on the floor TOPS who isn't a defensive threat. At least four people need to be able to defend multiple positions. Hopefully the Warriors get the memo.

Yeah KP is such a problem when healthy.. Spreads the floor block shots and now is punishing switches

I agree with you, though I'm still finding it hard to believe KP has THIS much of an impact. Maybe I'm just a certified hater (self confirmed), but still not making any sense. It's just a shame, mavs haven't looked in the game at all. It really does look like the 1 seed vs the 5th seed...

We forget because of how easy they made it look, but Boston was missing Porzingis for all the games against the Cavs and Pacers. Having him in the lineup changes everything with his ability to protect the rim, abuse mismatches in the paint and spread the floor from the 5 position.
Porzingis did get chipped up at the end of game 2. If he is unable to go for the rest of the series, I think Dallas has a real chance to make this a series.

I'm not sure if I'm having recency bias, or I'm box score watching, or if Celtics just didn't care during the eastern conference playoffs, but it seems for some reason Mavs are doing worse than the Cavs or the Pacers. How can this be? Are they just not ready for this moment? Are they chipped up? Was the west really not ready at all for the Celtics? Hoping the Mavs can win both games at home and then challenge Boston game 5. Otherwise this might be one of the more boring finals in a while

The matchups throughout these playoffs have been crazy. Wolves matched up perfectly against Denver, Mavs matched up perfectly against the Wolves, and Boston matches up perfectly against Dallas. I feel like if Minnesota and Dallas were just gonna shit the bed we might as well have rooted for an epic Denver-Boston matchup. Ironically Denver would've matched up perfectly with Boston b/c of Jokic attacking inside out.
I'll try to sell this series for you though Alch, we've seen Boston have at least one game each series where it's just like wtf are they doing (vs Miami, Cleveland, even Indiana the Pacers didn't capitalize). So let's say we get one of those, I think the individual brilliance of Luka and Kyrie has gotta come through in at least one game and just carry them by outscoring Boston and we get back to Boston 2-2. Mostly though I'm throwing a watch party for Game 4 and I don't want the game to feel pointless so I'm trying to convince myself π

To think Milwaukee allowed for Boston to pick up Holiday is a disaster of epic proportions.
Boston would have lost game 2 without Jrue and we would have been talking about them again as chockers.

The Mavs cannot win without a good lob game and it's not that their lob game has not been good, it's been almost non existant.

This was my concern when Denver got eliminated early. I thought they were the only team in the NBA that had the offensive capability to outgun the Celtics with Jokic. Looks like Boston is going to waltz into an easy championship.

Watching the Mavs get overpowered by the Celtics reminds me a lot of the Dubs doing the same thing in the 2022 WCF. Luka can get his, but when going up against better defenses and personnel, Dallas just doesn't have enough.

I thought this was going to at least be a 6 game series but yeah between them giving up straight line drives and having a slower offense this series is done. They have to change their offense, Bostons defense is too good to go against a set defense every time
