2023-10-17 21:08:37 +0000 UTCIm mad at Moody for missing. But he's so far from blame for this loss. This loss is squarely at the feet of Kyle Shanahan. ONE CATCH for All-pro tight end George Kittle. In bad weather, hostile environment, out of rhythm with Aiyuk, heavy pressure, star running back is out, Deebo is out, what is the GO TO for every quarterback? What is the ONLY reason Mahomes is still winning games right now? Travis fucking Kelce. Just the threat of him is enough, but Mahomes knows thats his best target. But no. Kyle Shanahan does NOTHING to help his young QB who's clearly struggling. 5-10 yard ins/outs or slants for George Kittle. Thats what couldve won this game. Just getting Purdy easy quick routes to his sure handed security blanket. You have the BEST tight end in the game, and Shanahan doesnt draw up a SINGLE play for Kittle in the second half. Absolutely unacceptable. The defense, while poor by their standards, did its job. They did just enough to put us in position to win. How many targets to Kittle on the final drive? Zero. Disgraceful clock management from Kyle on that drive as well. You settle for 41 yards when you easily couldve gotten 5-10 more with the extra timeout? 5 yard slant across the middle to Kittle, and that 41 yarder befores a 35 yarder. There were so many mindboggling, hair pulling, blood boiling decisions that Kyle continued to make, that he ALWAYS DOES when theres rain. How the fuck does a COTY candidate have his ENTIRE fucking gameplan completely crumble and be rendered ineffective, just because of some fucking rain? He didnt have the team prepared. He made no adjustments as the game progressed. And he did nothing to make it easier on his young QB. Kyle has been amazing for this franchise. His highs are super high. But dear fucking lord his lows are some of the most stupid, shit stomping lows Ive ever fucking seen. This game. The colts game. The cardinals-McCoy game. The falcons game. Kyle somehow manages to lose in the stupidest ways possible. Throw in the injuries to CMC, Deebo, and Trent, and youre looking at an early season skid and a limping trek to the bye week. With no Justin Jefferson next week, there is ZERO excuse to not win. Youre playing in a fucking dome. And even if CMC/Trent/Deebo is out, we still completely outclass the Vikings on paper. And Kyle needs to have the team ready.

2023-10-17 20:39:43 +0000 UTCThis felt like a Deebo game from the beginning but once he was ruled out, it seemed like we didn't have any sort of game-plan to fall back on. Kyle's arrogance in not respecting opposing defenses had a lot to do with us losing this game. He thinks he can out-scheme any defense and he's never willing to call quick developing plays to neutralize an opponent's pass rush. Shoutout to Jim Schwartz, his defenses are now 8-1 against Kyle. The only good news to take away from this game is that it appears Deebo, Trent and CMC suffered only minor injuries. I expect a bounce back performance from Purdy against a Vikings team without their top playmaker.
