As for Draymond just now starting to hit 3's... the thing is, he always COULD. Everyone always said that in practice he could hit them at +50%, even better sometimes, it was mainly just a mental thing with him (backpack form notwithstanding).

2023-11-06 20:50:29 +0000 UTCI feel like we put some of our athletes in the game at times where it might be the move to just put all of them in there and see if they can dominate the game athletically. Like the second unit I’d love to see CP3 orchestrating with GP2, Moody, Kuminga, and TJD instead of Saric. Rougher spacing but like you saw with the Cavs sometimes you can just physically overwhelm your opponent.

As high as I am on guys like Vanderbilt, there's no way a guy like that or even a collective of guys like that produces the playoff impact of even a B level effort from Andrew. It would be one thing if this roster lacked depth but it doesn't. If you trade Wiggs, it needs to be for an upgrade in the front court to either start and/or close. I don't see that trade out there.

Whereas, thr CP3-Wiggins minutes show that having a true guard may be beneficial to unlock Andrew.

2023-11-06 20:16:47 +0000 UTCWe are giving him too many jumpers. This is mostly in coaching. Can’t have JoKu in at the 4 while Saric is at 5. It yields too many Kuminga jump shots. He needs to be the primary PNR guy with CP to create more rim pressure.

This could be our last season seeing our trio together and we need everyone to play with high energy if we have a chance at a chip. I think we got all the competitive juice out of Wiggins in 2022... he got his money, probably dealing with some shit off the court.. and he dont look locked in at all. If this continues as we get closer to the deadline... Dunleavy might need to pick that phone up.

2023-11-06 19:59:29 +0000 UTCI have an idea that may address the size issue without a trade. They start TJ-D for the first 5 minutes of the game, chopping Looney's 1st half minutes down, with the intention of closing with him in the last 6. If they want to close with the CP3, Curry, and Klay, which appears to have a serious chemistry offensively, Draymond can't be the sole big in many of the marquee matchups. Though him shooting 3s is a huge plus in quarters 1-3, in Crunch time not only is him taking jumpers from the corner not an ideal use of a possession, he will never be respected as a shooter with regards to gravity. His inability to finish at the basket is a serious issue at the end of games, especially since we have no offensive rebounding presence. Looney should be playing 18 mins or less per game, saving the bulk of his minutes for the closing time. The opening 5 minutes with TJ-D can function as a litmus test to see if he can handle the match-up and be utilizes more throughout the game.

2023-11-06 19:52:08 +0000 UTCWe need Wiggins and Kuminga to wake up ASAP. The team is going nowhere without those two. Need that athletic wing scoring and defense BAD. I like what I saw from TJD but would much rather not have to use him at the expense of Kuminga/GP2 minutes.
