Andrew Wiggins and Klay Thompson must take a seat on the bench in favor of players who are exhibiting a level of selfwarreness and professionalism they don't seem to possess. It's a real shit show that can be laid at the head coach's feet for empowering this ungodly level of hubris. This team deserves everything they now must face.

Him expecting a max is simply unreal at this point and no one will offer him that on the free market.. I say cut him loose because I feel like anything less than the max klay will take begrudgingly and probably just get worse from this point forward

2023-12-12 23:04:46 +0000 UTCDope to see James back on the pod. You two always had great chemistry In terms of the Celtics being favourites, I just don't buy it. I'm taking the Nuggets and Lakers over them because they would both have the best player in a series against the Celtics and they can generate offence in the paint while the Celtics are overly reliant on the 3 ball. I also think a lack of a real leader will hurt them in the playoffs. When you look at their main guys, none of them are really leaders. Tatum, Brown, White, Holiday, and Porzingiz are all quiet guys. Mazzula also doesn't seem to command the locker room like Udoka did. The only guy who really seems like a leader is Horford. But even he is a role player at this stage, so I'm not sure how much weight his voice carries

I'm all for more guests and collabs in the future cuz I really enjoy hearing you bounce ideas and topics around with these other POVs. To give my take on how long do I lean on past accomplishments for these guys is two steps. 1: Does the play on the court pass the eye test? And 2: Are the answers the players and coaches giving to the media/public pass the smell test? And that's why I'm starting to lose faith in this season because 1 we can all see what's going on in the games, and 2 a lot of their podium appearances go beyond the standard sports bullshit answers we all expect, and have this bad edge of desperation, Klay especially.

Steph and Dray are great players, but they have a tendency to do very random things in this situation, and it has spread to the rest of the team. They have no confidence closing.

2023-12-11 20:29:08 +0000 UTCI have a strong feeling that Wiggs suffers from anxiety issues. The pattern is very much there. Mental issues like that don't get talked about a lot in sports circles, but as someone who competitive games, I can say that competitive environments can do a NUMBER on your self-confidence, and they can cause extreme anxiety, and not everyone responds to that the same way, and not everyone responds to it well. And this is my personal experience in an environment where I'm anonymous, and there's no money or national spotlight involved even. Am I psychic, of course not, but I also think he seems like a good guy, but the pattern of seemingly not being able to face the bright lights screams anxiety. The only thing that sports fans usually say about stuff like that is "he's soft" or they go on about the Mamba Mentality etc. etc. Well, a tough mindset is great, being able to handle pressure is great, but how do you get there is the question. And the fact that he performed well during the championship run may have made the problem worse, not better, because now there's added pressure to live up to your own supposed standards that you set with your success. This is why going on and on about "we're champions" can also be counterproductive, because it's just creating something impossible to live up to rather than starting from a healthier, more humble place with more of an underdog mindset.
