How can you bench Kuminga for 18 minutes after he was literally the one that almost won you the game with penetration and putting Jamal in foul trouble. Kuminga is getting too good for him. That way you get a younger star or 2 to compete with the last of Steph years and take over from him along with the young ones we have. Right now, are these 3 guys really valuable? Not really but I feel 3 reliable guys who are on the cusp of being stars can be acquired from em. Along with Steph and Dray, we might still have a chance before Steph retires

He's constantly out of rhythm due to inconsistent minutes, and has shown in his first couple of seasons + last year's postseason that he's more of a 36% shooter. I agree about the reps, but I also think he's already solid enough as a shooter and therefore think rhythm is more important (but they inherently go together)

If you wanna win a title, it requires a lack of fear of what the future might bring once all assets are gambled just like all the other current contenders. Can't have the milk and the cream, we saw that last year, ran into Lakers team that fully committed to the season - we had several routes to upgrade the roster and simply chose not to.

Kerr's coaching has been pretty poor this season (and last season), but I'll give credit for this one. If he's going to start holding vets accountable for their play, that's a huge improvement.

2024-01-04 17:05:38 +0000 UTCAlso the reason why I trade Klay is because I think the raptors would love to have podz and more shooting on the roster with Klay and then Kuminga is trade-able if they can’t fit him into the offense. Also the warriors do this because I don’t think Klay is capable of being your number 2 anymore. His defense isn’t good enough or reliable enough and on the offense I don’t think he has the ability to consistently get open enough to take good on balance shots. I think moody can slot into that role nicely because he’s got good size and length, can shoot and is professional enough to take on that role and grow in it

I think this team isn’t a championship team and I think the two problems are the defense and the lack there is if roles on the offense (it’s too complicated or non existent after Steph) I saw a trade the other day that I loved that I tweaked. What about trading Klay, Kuminga, and podz ( maybe adding 2 second round draft picks only if needed) to get back Siakam, Otto porter jr and Thaddeus Young? Move Draymond to the center, have Looney and TJD take up the backup role depending on matchup. Have Siakam starting with Saric backing him up. Wiggs back starting with Otto Porter backing him up and then Steph and Moody at the start for the guards. The only weakness I see is CP3 and Steph minutes together which makes them too small In my opinion, but I think they can get away with that. That defense should be amazing and Siakam becomes your number 2 on the offense where he provides a different element than steph and an element that is not mod-range and athletic with the ability to pass out of the post up on a mismatch.

It's such a bad line-up for offense and defense but the Magic couldn't take advantage. Also I know that it won't happen but trading Klay and others for someone like Mikal Bridges would be dope, a line-up with Steph, Bridges, Wiggs, Kuminga and Dray has a lot of potential and we'd lock teams down

I like that JK shows up with energy when playing these guys from his draft class tho, I like that competitive fire. Klay had a good moment of reflection postgame and said he had a heart to heart with Kerr. Hopefully we get this version of Klay the rest of the season, this feels like his most valuable role. Solid d on big wings, hit timely shots, and hustle. Ik everyone’s been killing him this year but this was encouraging and we gotta shout him out for his floor game 🙏🏼

I know u caught it against another team but i forget if that was Wiggins also. That kinda just tells you the way some players on the team vibe with wiggs, mans to quiet and most likely never hangs out off the court with the guys and i think the players are don’t really vibe with him. But it’s gotten to the point where it’s just as amazing that we got a full season out of GPII as well. Take a look at his games played outside of our championship season. Love the guy to death but it’s literally so hard for him to stay healthy

One night he'll be selfish asshole Klank Thompson who plays no defense. Then the next night he will be like last night, committed role-player Klay Thompson. It was nice to see Klay play the way he did and for Kuminga to have an exceptional game. Despite the Magic being really good across the board (with some luck for Banchero having an off night), one thing that stood out to me the most about this game??? Despite the score, I never FELT like the Warriors were gonna lose. Even when they dug themselves into that super early hole. There wasnt a single point in this game where I felt "uh oh, here we go again". And that speaks volumes to how everyone was playing. Few TOs. Timely shot making. Sound defense (for the most part). And they played as a TEAM. Gee, its almost as if you, when you do those things, you can actually win games!!!!! Lol nah, I kid. Lets just hope that this is a good sign for 2024 for them. I caution myself and others to truly believe it though because we all said the same exact thing on that 5 game win streak. Will Klay revert back to Klank after 4-5 wins in a row again? We'll see. This was a good game. But forgive me for keeping my eyebrows raised in doubt. Also also.....I really hope GP2 isnt injured long term again. Just terrible luck for the guy. I love him! And the Warriors need him. Pray he returns soon. The silver lining is maybe Moody actually gets to play basketball again.

Klay Thompson's expiring + picks has value one the market and there may still be a team who can sell themselves on having Draymond amp their defense up. Instead of an acceptance of this mediocre roster, they need to gamble on maximizing the Wardell window--because once he's gone, there likely will be no banners hung for decades to come.

At first i didn’t want him gone and i still don’t WANT him gone but i think going all in on kuminga gives us the best chance at winning again and not this year but maybe within the next 2. Nothing is guaranteed but kind of like san antonio and have kuminga be the new kawhi and win an aging steph 1 more title. As many assets as we have our front office year after year never makes a big move and im not holding out hope for a blockbuster or even mid tier trade coming
