They just got that aura of inevitability. However I don’t think the Niners will bc immature and undisciplined like the Ravens who just shot themselves in the foot over and over. Should be a hell of a Super Bowl.

It's harder to close out wins against good teams than it is to get ahead in the first place. "Pressure busts pipes" I'm still wondering why Chase just hasn't been better. Thanks for this Alch!

Basically for anyone but Purdy, this is the final year we for sure have this core together. Nothing is taken for granted and we HAVE to get it done this year because injuries, salary issues, and regression is bound to happen. So Im gonna go right into my doomer honesty: the Chiefs are a TERRIFYING matchup for us in every single way for our defense. I know some people want to give credit to Wilks for halftime adjustments, but honestly I dont buy it. The Lions just kept fucking up at the wrong time and we thankfully took advantage. But even allowing that TD on the final drive for Detroit pissed me off. Wilks is BAD. Like BAD BAD. And I promise you, if he comes out with the same defensive scheme against Mahomes, we're gonna be cooked by the end of the first quarter. The Lions were young and experienced. They couldnt handle the pressure. Mahomes and Reid are looking at us like BBQ chicken right now. I honestly dont even know what the gameplan should be. Double Kelce and pray to win the rest of the 1v1 matchups? We cant stop the run. Its that simple. Detroit flat out abandoned the run in the second half. KC play action will be our downfall. I NEED to see change in our defense in the 1st quarter of the superbowl because Mahomes and Co will NOT relinquish a double digit lead, I can promise you that. I think our offense can score against the Chiefs. Maybe not 30+ pts, but I think we can put up at least 24. That being said, the last thing you wanna do is get into a shootout with them. Bottom line: The ONLY way the 49ers win this SB is if they make plays on defense. 1) Get off the field on 3rd down. 2) Get to Mahomes. 3) Force TOs. 4) Disrupt their run game. 5) Get Mahomes out of rhythm. If they cant do 3 out of those 5 things, it wont matter what our offense does. Our defense is not good and is giving me basically zero confidence in stopping them.

Is NFL reffing gonna be like NBA reffing, where they decide AFTER they see the result of the play bc otherwise there is a penalty on every play and it's no fun to watch?

Unreal. I’ll take this ugly run up to the SB. And I’m excited for the re match. Man. Glad for two weeks to decompress before showtime haha

Kicking that FG when they were on our goal line in the 1st half was the moment he went away from his philosophy. I would've said he goes for it there cause even if you miss, we're backed up in our end zone with our offense sputtering.

Are those people blind? It's one thing to miss it live, but they have plenty of time to watch the tape and revise their wrong takes. On the flip side, guys like Lombardi need to quit constantly comparing him to Montana/Young #2. Why can't he just be Purdy which is a really really good young QB?

I think we've shown enough resiliency to prove we can win it all, but the thing the chiefs have done well this postseason is be consistent. Not amazing each quarter, but they go about their business and do what is necessary which is scary considering these last two games we've played.

If you go away from what got you there you end up like the ravens. The only decision I didn’t like was that 3rd down run but I think the blame should be on their receivers dropping perfect dimes from Goff and giving us the momentum

Cant wait for the SB and its going to be a long 2 weeks but that helps Deebo and the boys get healthy for an all out game. Their defense is LEGIT but damn that offense isnt gonna put up a ton of points....
