unless we actually let TJD get minutes and experience

B Master

I wish the warriors would trade for Murray and Capella and sediq. It would give us much needed size and scoring

Raymond Lyons

Did you all see his postgame interview after the Nets last night? That dude is all the way in his feelings. It's hard to watch.

Nolan Williams

Might have to rip this klay band aid off soon and just get it over with.

sleeve nash

Watching klay is like watching an addict. He don’t get it 😂

sleeve nash

Coming back here as I rewatch w ATL/Dominique broadcast. Bad as Klay’s game was with all the deserved criticism, Dubs getting absolute eaten alive by Capella and Okongwu is an even bigger problem to my eyes, as the league will continue to feast this way against our roster options, from Dray on down, especially on B2B and heavy minutes.

Chip Tingle

After the way Klay played in the Lakers series last year, I was ready to move on. That was the time to get something for him, but I know Steph would never go for it. If we don't make a trade, I sure would like to see what Moody looks like starting...

Evan Palmer

You just knew we were going to continue that losing streak in OT

Ryan Mitchell

It's because it's gotten to the point where his selfishness is completely on display and inexcusable. He's sabotaging his own team. It's honestly an act of betrayal. And this is AFTER the supposed "heart-to-heart" with Kerr. No more excuses.

Neal X

both the definition of bad player and possible team destination are exactly what I was thinking. Of course it's hard to imagine a more painful form of perfidy than watching him somehow aid the Fakers' chances at another title.

Childe Costa

I doubt we can get anything worthwhile for Klay but after screaming at my TV all night, I'm of the idea that addition by subtraction is growing more appealing by the day. Like Alch says, it's not just the poor performances (those happen to everyone), it's the attitude that is unacceptable. And even if he cleans things up for a game or string of games, we all know this is the default Klay that pulls at him like a magnet. So whether he can fetch a useful trade piece for us or not, how do you justify the financial hamstringing of resigning him, especially knowing the physical decline/limitations he comes with? At least Wiggs still moves well and gives you bounce and hustle on defense. Klay is just a shot chucking zombie. One thing's certain: as Alch points out, there's no way the team's brass can move off of him without these nightly train wrecks. Go Warriors. Go Alch!

Childe Costa

The right thing is to do what's best for the team, regardless of what Steph Curry thinks or believes. What Lacob and MDJ think is another story.

Julian

The Klay storyline is not surprising at all at this point, but I think a point of coversation Alc is lineup at OT. 4 guards, 1 power forward. 1 rebounds for, 8 against. At what point does the golden state terrorist get some accountability when it comes to his job with decisions like this?

Julian

The worst kind of player is someone who thinks he is great and shoots with no conscience because he is great. The team would be better if they simply released him. Let him go play for the Lakers, that's the only team that probably would have a reason to take him.

Jerry Heverly

If there's a way we could acquire Dejounte and Capela without having to give up Kuminga, I say do it ASAP.

Omer Ali

Many teams would consider him. He's one of the biggest expirings coming off the books this year. You attach 2 first to the 43 million and it's one of the best offers on the market right now.

Stevie Ray

With 4 fouls on DJ and him playing in the 3rd wouldn’t it have made sense to get Kuminga to back him down and get him out of there?

Mason Joe

Honestly the shot selection is bad with Klay but what's so frustrating is that he used to be like where he used his defense to fuel his offense like everyone has bad shooting nights but you can always give effort on defense smh

JSII

Get Dejounte and Capela on this team please. Would plug so many holes for us

Luke Zhang

I’m more patient w Klay than most, but I do appreciate when Kerr sits bad Klay when he’s obviously hunting and chucking. Where were the Steph/Klay screens to open up JK’s game? I thought he forced when facing pressure, resulting turnovers, bad handles, bad possessions, no adjustments. He’ll get there. Thanks especially for the level of detail on D problems, as I was missing weak traps from Klay among other ongoing problems. Pleasantly surprised by Lester’s D energy and length, didn’t know he had that gear. Podz is all heart, but bigger guards are a problem for him on D, w Beard/PG/Kawhi/Mann/Powell ahead. Hurry back Momo and GPII!!!!!! 🙏

Chip Tingle

I had a funny thought after this game, even with us being this bad and all our size and Klay issues, with all the close losses we have imagine if we got all the blatant favoritism and help the Lakers get, we'd be number 1 in the west easy. If that doesn't tell you the amount of power and control over games the refs have

KuraiT

What a great and selfless teammate lol

KuraiT

At 4:18 in the video, look at klay's reaction to lester's heat check lmao who the fuck are you to criticize???

thomas

I’d mentioned a few weeks ago that the shrewd move would be to move off of Klay but now it seems the torches and pitchforks are truly out for the now black sheep splash bro. It still laws common basketball sense but if Steph rally does need to sign off on any OG trade it’s hard to imagine him doing so, even if it’s because it’s just not “on brand” and we know 30 ultimately has a lot more going on than the dubs. Looking at the pieces we have this season it’s looking like the new tandem has to be the “splash and bash” duo of JK and Steph. The inside outside threat they can deliver can be unstoppable if tuned to its utmost. Podz is legit, TJD is an up and comer and fills a big need. Dray for better or for worse is the teams captain and is integral to the identity of the team even if it fell back to filling the Igoudala role of mentor and glue guy. Wiggins you probably keep simply because his trade value is so low in relation to his hope and against hope upside due to his eternally weak mental game. The dudes will simply have to be in his ear giving him the Tony Robbins treatment like back in 22. Everyone else is a trade chip. Would love to see a pragmatic swap for Nick Claxton or Wendell Carter but the real issue is simple: the ship is sinking under dead weight, do you throw your brother overboard of just throw up some dubs hand signs sayin’ ride or die?

Michael E

If people ask me how good is the Warriors, I would say exactly as good as the Hawks, which is not very good. And that's probably why they went OT

Qiushi Hu

great jokes as always. Alc, you know what would be fun, if you did a livestream game-watch with chat/commentary, and it was only jokes and trash talk, about everyone and anything going on in the game. What you think?? lol

Ron Rierson

by the 3rd quarter, I was already telling myself if we lose its all on klay. sure enough, same shit a diff day.... dudes got to go.

Ron Rierson

I noticed he mentioned Mood in that interview too.

Neal X

This game is a perfect example of why we need more size. I can't believe I went back and forth with a guy on FB who swears we're not too small and we just need a solid number 2 scorer. I pointed out that we make average bigs look like All-Stars. Okongwu is going 9.6/6.8/1 this season. That's about his career averages. Against us? 22/16/2. Capella is going 11.5/10.6 this season. Against us? 17/15. We've made the Mason Plumlees of the NBA look great in the past. If we could get Murray and Capella without including JK, that's the deal. It would take multiple #1 picks but could pay off. More likely, the rumored CP3 and Moody to Orl for Issac and Ingles is what is possible. By the way, if you look at those contracts, that is a good upside deal with low risk. Issac has been hurt but is an intriguing defensive talent. Out of college, he was deemed an athletic, versatile defender who could potentially guard 1-5. Sounds like our kind of guy. You know Kerr would love an Aussie like Ingles. At 6-9 though, Kerr might be tempted to play him at the small ball 5.

Eddie757

I only watched highlights and then checked the box score to find out how the fuck we lost that game, and it was obvious just from the numbers. Klank Thompson shot us out of the game, ruined his teammates' record-setting night, and Steve Kerr never sat him because he played for almost 40 minutes. What. The. Fuck. This is on Kerr as much as Klay for not sitting his ass. And we get outscored in the paint by like 20 points, yet Trayce only plays 10 minutes while Loon gets 15??? What. The. Fuck. Every time I think Kerr has figured this shit out, something like this happens. I think this was the last straw for Klay with the fanbase, just going by how I feel about it. He should NEVER be playing over 30 minutes a night again this season, assuming we even keep him past the deadline, and I'd honestly keep him under 20. He shouldn't start.

Neal X

Klay needs to adjust to the fact that he’s not as balanced as he was, his shot is much worse, he doesn’t seem to care on D. Some days he rebounds but most days he doesn’t. Sometimes he passes but most days no. He’s always been in his own world but when his D was awesome and he was a bucket from 3 great. Now he just won’t do all of the things that take effort. Anyone can chuck up shots. And before he was the second best shooter on the floor every night. Now the entire league can shoot, it’s the rest of the game that matters.

Russ

good question. imo i think it's an effort thing. if he commits to genuinely trying to improve his defense on a game to game basis i think he'll be come a good to great defender in his prime. he has the tools for it

ChizzyTheKid

I agree that klay needs to go. It was painful to watch him hog the ball! We’ve seen it all season. It’s almost as if he’s pouting and when he bombs like he did last night, it was clear his head was not for the good of the team but sadly only for himself. His defense wasn’t there and it appears he didn’t give a shit. Once Klay continues to fail in both offense and defense, he should have been benched. What a clear example of Klay worrying about his stats and not his teammates. It’s time to trade him.

Deborah Schlichting

This season is turning into 2020-21, where Steph can still bring it, but the supporting cast is either injured, underperforming, or too young to fully earn Kerr's trust outside of Podz & JK. Only difference now is there's no imminent Klay return to save this season or next. They need to make a move, but I don't know who's out there that's going to quickly turn this season around. Even if they get a size upgrade at C, can that C also adjust to Kerr's style of play in time? Until then, the rest of the season should be about making a late push for at least the play-in and also finding out who stays on this roster for next season.

Nick Elliston

you could tell JK was frustrated, didn't go for the box out

Abhi Kelkar

Kerr is doing the TJD exactly what he has done to Kumminga before, he is wasting Curry's prime,

Naji Zouhari

Alch, how do you feel about Kuminga's defense? I noticed he has a habit of taking really poor angles, especially on his closeouts. He also has a tendency to crowd his man too much and biting on every move. Of course, we have to give him leeway because he is only 21. However, I just wanted to ask you if you believe he can take that step one day to become an elite defender. You've watched the NBA a lot longer than me, so you've probably seen this story play out often and may have a better idea of his ceiling as a defender. In my years of playing basketball and watching the game, I've come to believe that elite defenders have the instincts from day one. It's intuitive. While players can make that jump from mediocre to above average with experience, rarely do they make that jump to elite if they don't show that natural defensive instincts early. Of course, that is just my opinion. It's not that we need Kuminga to be Scottie Pippen on that end of the floor with the way his offensive game is improving. I'm just curious to hear your thoughts on who he will become defensively in the future

Jacob

I am sick of Klay, if only we were trash, we have potential, and he is ruining it, we cant afford that

Naji Zouhari

yeah, I feel the same way. life comes at you fast

yan't get right

friendship always gets in the way. this is the rare dynasty that has been built off of an eternal bond of 3 dudes who are all the same-ish age and came up at the same time, more like a high school team than any other successful team in probably NBA history. So yeah, that friendship will probably cost them more than it needs to

yan't get right

Moody and Quinones shooting has made Klay absolutely expendable. Just as Podz has made CP3 expendable. Moody specifically brings much better defense too. We're at an impasse for team success, Klay has to go, or take a 6th man role off the bench. There are no other options.

Captain Rossco

At one point we went on a glorious run, the guys were getting hot and the joy/vibes were at their peak, then Klay checked in really fast like he couldn't wait to horn in and I said, "Here comes Colin Robinson!" Sure enough he instantly chucked two airballs on back to back possessions and sucked the life out of the team.

NN

damn that's some real shit

yan't get right

Through all the what-ifs one of the biggest ones is how close the Warriors have been in their losses this season. I think they are tops in the league. So even though the officiating is crooked, and Klay has been sucking, and Wiggs sucked forever, and Dray kept getting suspended, and Steph was as sloppy as ever, and Loon fell off a cliff - even then - a few different bounces here and there and they literally would be in like 5th or 6th place.

Major Powers

Lakers would love to have Klay. Bron would rein in his chucking and he'd be good again and would make the Lakers scary.

Major Powers

It's so weird after all this time and all that's happened to see basically everyone turning on Klay. I get why, it's just very surreal.

Major Powers

Yeah I caught that too! I wish the Moody had gotten the chance to ascend into a great player after being on ice for so long. Hopefully we either use him more or he gets traded to a team that will use and appreciate him.

Shantel

Klay STOP chucking! I'm beginning to think his parents originally named him Jeff but then saw how slow he was and his Mom said to his Dad, "you know the name Jeff doesn't really suit him, don't u think Klay really fits better?" Dad agreed and it just got shortened to Klay when he had to identify himself to the driver of the little yellow school bus.

Russ

Encouraging performance for sure, the problem is very clear and isolated. It's not like the whole team has chemistry issues or something unexplainable isn't clicking. Time to put Killa down.

Vulacior

Who even takes Klay at this point, a tanking team for the expiring deal? He plays with this ego amongst his brothers, imagine how he would play in Detroit. Would break league records with FG attempted.

Vulacior

Imagine if we had Clint capela instead of loon and klay shooting 7-10 times a game max. How many more wins do we have? 5? More? Feels like a top 6 team in the west at least. Kerr needs to make tough decisions or leave. Sucks, but it’s reality now.

Lucas

Klay of the bench is snatching the ball from his teammates and shooting 30 ft shots

Hg80

They need to hire my man!!!!! Take the GP2 route and apply to be a video manager or something!!

Jansen E

At the very least, the Warriors being shitty generates plenty of engagement with your videos!! hahaha. Im thankful the 49ers have been a healthy distraction from this NBA season. Speaking of which, Im headed out to Vegas for the Superbowl this weekend!!!! I want to say that Im prepared for heartbreak but truthfully I am not. I need them to win so bad. I cant stand seeing Mahomes win another one at our expense.

Jansen E

Damn Klay. It's you against the world huh

Jordan Smith

This team has done nothing but talk around the subject of having Klay play for the team, accept where he is in his career, adapt his game, etc. It's just talk. Wishful and meaningless. They won't bench Klay. They'll say they don't have anyone else on the bench to play over him. And that's by design. Moody could probably play SG, but he's going to need some actual minutes to develop into that role. More than 4 minute fill-ins he occasionally gets when other guys are hurt. Found it noteworthy that after the Memphis game, when JK was being interviewed, he specifically mentioned himself and Moses as being happy to step in and help carry the old guys. JK wasn't asked about Moses, at all, but he brought him in. I wish someone would make Kerr do the same.

Thomas Ogas

Klang Thompson. 'nuff said

Steven Calwas

Back in the day it used to be all about PYT and Latoya Jackson. Now we talk about KYP...and we don't scrutinize the coaching staff enough about it. I see as many coaches on that bench as players. What we all knew last night: Dubs had an undermanned bench. Klay still sick. ATL has two active rebounding bigs. ATL a younger/faster team. What our coaching staff does not or refuses to do: - Rotate in TJD before the half; why not give Draymond and Loon a rest? - Call and demand more plays (a lot of hero ball). - Call time out to reset some things. Kuminga is getting doubled and turning it over? Ok...plan B. Klay specific (if they don't trade him, which I hope doesn't happen): - He is clearly thirsty for a GS contract. I don't believe he is blatantly undermining the team. - Kerr should stop allowing him to bring the ball up the court unless it is in a fast break. - Kerr should stop allowing him to create plays for himself. If my memory stands correct, 11 dribbles...60pts? - Make better shot selection decisions; obvious stuff. - Get him easy looks, early; no brainer. - Get him and Draymond Steph's conditioning coach; seriously. - When hero ball and bad shot selection creeps in, bench him; Seems to have worked for Wiggins.

decomplexify5000

Yep, dray needs help in the center position. He can do it but not by himself and steph needs help with scoring.

Carla Davis

2 Things besides another great breakdown: #1: if it goes into overtime-the entire team kind of expects to lose-#2: Alch-you said that you were kind of glad in some ways they lost with Steph hitting 60 because the FO would feel pressured for a trade. Lots of sources seem to say Steph doesn't want Klay or Dray traded regardless; if that's true-then what is the right thing to do here? Is Steph just content to make the rest of the season a good-will tour of sorts? It's gotten to the point that this whole season is broken and let's face it: one trade's not going to do very much. If Steph is frustrated-why wouldn't he ask for a trade-or his is friendship with Dray and Klay getting in the way?

Paul Hanson

The Next Shot Mentality is why we fell in love with Klay. Now The Next Shot Mentality is why we are starting to hate him. Life is surely a cycle. If Klay wont be traded.. Kerr has to do a much better job in sensing what type of vibe Klay is on. After 2-3 bad chucks.. PULL HIM. Klay is like an untrained Pitbull right now. Kerr has to reel that shit in. Dray nor Curry will ever tell him to stop chucking. Kerr and Klay had a talk early this season.. well its enough talking. Bench his ass for Lester Q and that will show us if Klay is willing to change or sink further into the asshole mentality. Other than Klay.. I liked what I saw. I use to hoop with Lester a couple years back in Memphis... he always been a bucket so thats no surprise to me. It was also refreshing to see someone else double teamed besides Curry. Thats encouraging seeing Curry get easier shots We still desperately need a Center tho.. Capela would be great for us. Especially if we want to take ourselves seriously against the Nuggs .. Lakers.. Twolves

Ballin Forever

I start to believe that Klay is doing this, so that the team can trade him for some assets to help Steph and Draymond for another championship. If not, he will not shoot so recklessly.

Natto Santo

will see, everyone says that right about now. All the deals have stalled and its like " oh we are just gonna stay put"

Athletic Alchemy

feels like it!

Athletic Alchemy

nah he is a certified Asshole no doubt, go look at his drew league stuff

Athletic Alchemy

Your prior point of maybe getting Dejounte in a trade def makes some basketball sense. But when he hit the "too small" celly on Podz after getting such a soft ass BS whistle I wanted nothing to do with him lmao

Karim Q

Klay is making us hate him on purpose so it's easier to break up with him.

Grizzly Thief

Its been an exhausting season to cover

Athletic Alchemy

We need Klay to fast forward the Westbrook star to role player learning curve. Or else he will even be more detrimental than Westbrook

Viet Huy Vu

never know! I have been told the Org is aware of my content

Athletic Alchemy

Lol it was only a matter of time. Klay being sick was a blessing. He comes back and IMMEDIATELY kills any vibes that were building, playing like his asshole alter ego Klank Thompson. Steve Kerr's obsession with Looney and icing TJD out of the game. I barely have the energy to rant anymore. Its just hard to care. Seeing Steph be historic while his teammates and coach continue to be fucking stupid as hell. Just pure selfishness from Klay. Disgusting performance from him. This dude went from our favorite Warrior to being just a sick asshole that we can't stand anymore.

Jansen E

It was really really bad. Screamed at the tv after I saw this play!

Jakob

I figured it out, Curry’s shoes look like they’re having an allergic reaction to his feet!

Allison Hendrix

What’s Steve’s issue with TJD? Dray needs help and Loon isn’t doing it. TJD should be getting more minutes!

Kahlil Baker

It’s makes sense to assume so. The way the league has gone, his position is the most replaceable on the team. There are already 3 guys on our roster (4 since Wiggins can play the 2) that can excel in his role.

Swole Mole

I’ve been with you all year Alch… we could get off klay Thompson right now for teams with pieces we need like the Hawks, lakers, and even Grizzlies… it’s just super disappointing hearing that warriors have no plans to make major moves prior to the deadline

Offtopic K

The Dubs should either put Klay on the bench or cut his minutes in half for one of the other guards.

Super Jockstrap Man

I knew Klay was gonna be tripping out in the first 9 minutes. He had taken 10 shots in his first 9 minutes and was sitting. Is he insecure about his position on the team.

mr.bean

Agree with you. Want Klay off the team at this point.

The New Guy

JK seems to be on scouting reports a lot sooner than Poole in his breakout season, that’s how you know it’s real for Baby Giannis.

Swole Mole

“Who’s gonna tell little bro about his mom? Not me.” HAHA

The New Guy

Yo alch, do you think the team goes over your breakdowns in the film room? Lmaoo some of the changes I see in each game are uncanny.

Swole Mole

Alch that play when Klay had an open pass to Kuminga in transition but took the contested 3 was disgusting. Especially since he had air balled his last 3 shots.

mr.bean

Klay Klay Klay, I love u to death dawg. But it’s time.

JW

First book and towns. Now steph 60 worth Jack shit if you can’t win
