Consider JK is a victim of an exhausted owner purse and Klay a salary dump. All that narrative fueled his discontent. Klay shot elite last year. That's what we pay him for. JK carried the team next to Steph when Wiggs was out so he deserves better treatment. He and Moody also got squashed in between mgmt commitment ro develop the super young 19, 20, 21 or stick with the Vets. The mistake to me was to believe those two way payers who they played over JK and Moody would produce more than JK and Moody if mgmt gave them the minutes. Madness! Moody may not look super athletic but when he got those extended minutes and felt like he belonged, he was. Right now Kerr plays so many mind games to inspire the youth, he need to learn that sometimes less is more. I just hope GSW dont become the Miami Dolphins of handling yiuth. Pitta putta then they leave and become dominant on other teams. One combination Kerr need to consider is Dray off the bench to get Moody and JK jump started.

But I think that will be good for all concerned, Moody can find a place where he'll get real play time, and we can hopefully pick up a piece that we need more.

Kuminga as a rookie was leading us to wins when the vets sat and moody when used was good in his role for a title team. By the numbers kuminga was better then podz as a rookie if u factor in minutes.....but theres more, podz after 1 good game was given run to make mistakes and get 30 min a might because kerr wanted him to succeed. Kerr tried to sabatoge jk and even moody to an extent to this day......wiseman was the obvious pick. Didnt work out because of injury or bad coaching whatever u wanna call it but saying its a bad pick is dumb and just hindsight when looney who was a borderline nba player was our starting center at the time. How does podz look now "fitting into the system" when he aint playing 30 min a night. He struggling to even do his role which is simply hustle and we dont even know if he can be the backup pg. Only casuals actually thought podz was somthing special. His "intangables" are also very over rated and seems to have many charachter flaws. Podski no doubt is at the bottom of the scale athletically, but he more than makes that up with average skills and elite intangibles that you can't teach. Consider Podski does not need to be a 20 plus a nigh scorer to be an elite PG to back up Steph. Podski game reminds me of Jason Kidd's. Don't panic too quickly. Podski, Moody, JK, TJD at their potential with a solid rim running center who can clog the paint on D makes for a really scary starting 5 even in today's game.

Hmmm! Zig Ziglar says, "Success happens when Opportunity meets Preparedness." I suggest Coach Kerr is preparing to see what combinations work best in what situations in response to what the championship contenders are likely to throw at his teams. This year deep bench is a dream laboratory for Coach Kerr. I am not concern with JK and Moody low minutes in a blow out because they are top 8 in total minutes so why fatigue them when we don't need their fire power. What gets me is when Kerr does not go to them in the crunch and particularly against great perimeter defensive teams. Besides Wonder Boy, JK, Wiggs, and Moody are our best down hill/slashers who can finish at the rim with authority. When TJD toughen up I will add him. Of the young guys JK has the greatest upside potential and Coach Kerr has not release the Leopard for enough catches to cause his motivation tank to be at its apex. But then again, Coach Kerr is a Mad Scientist and who knows if he is using reverse psychology on JK but with Wiggs at this super elite level, you have to feed that. I only wish Coach Kerr will open the door for JK and Moody to stay connected because we see with Melton injury how quickly things can change and all this experiments will go for naught if we don't have our most resilient players optimally primed for the bright lights. Kuminga proved with last season that Kerr wasn’t giving him a fair shot, it took that horrible Kerr decision in the Denver game to get a shot after 3 years and he kept the playoff hope alive. Max or not a Max? The convo used to be rotation player or bench? Kerr clearly misread. If you’re going to be confident you’re a max guy then you get max scrutiny, and Kerr has definitely done nothing but scrutinize, and some of the fans too. Yet for Pods after 1 year he’s given the green light to shoot despite not showing a scoring affinity when that took Kuminga 3 years, however Kerr, the front office, and Podz himself has said his role should be the next leader. The front office and Kerr back that, so where’s the scrutiny? You see how the optics on that looks? So now the scrutiny is from the fans. They are all in the same position, the only difference is the source of that pressure they feel but let’s not act like they aren’t all feeling pressure from somewhere. Pods just joined the club.

Kerr wants these guys to do what he wishes they could do and not what they are good at. Now we have inverse problems, the fan base sees Moody and Kuminga and know they aren’t getting a fair shake because despite what the fans believe they can do, Kerr doesn’t see it. Yet at the other end, the front office and Kerr have empowered Pods and made him untouchable in trades, “he’ll be an allstar, and he’s our next leader,” yet despite what they believe he can do, the fans don’t see it. So I say this, if we’re gonna be critical because of what the fans think Moody and Kuminga can be, we should give that same criticism to Pods for what the front office says Pods can be. So far, this team is not playing down to competition like they were the last two years, and I largely credit Stackhouse for setting that tone. Sucks about Melton, really sad seeing him look so deflated on the bench. I guess the one silver lining is that if he were gonna go down at any point this season, you'd want it to happen before any big trades so the FO knows what they need to prioritize. Horrible news about Melton, but at least our current roster has some clarity now -- clear 1st unit of Steph, Wiggs, TJD, Dray, and Lindy, clear 2nd unit of Podz, JK, Loon, Kyle, and Moody as their "backups", but I agree with you about Moody. If we can't trade Melton for a true big, then Moody is the clear choice for me at this point. Love seeing Wiggs show out -- if he starts getting 30-pieces, it's over for the league.

Hawks were pretty disappointing. I was hoping for a good game after they defeated both the Celtics (without Trae) and the the Kings on Monday. They have some good pieces with Daniels, Jalen (if he can fix the defense), Risacher and Okongwu but they're still inconsistent. Also doesn't help they don't have their 1st round pick this year due to the Dejounte Murray trade.
