Now, I don't mean to in anyway sound like I'm blaming Hali, but I really feel like if you're going to roll the dice and try to play through a calf strain, fine, I respect the decision completely, but shouldn't you at least try to be a bit more conservative, especially with those step-back moves? Maybe that's not realistic to expect, but it's just such a shame, man.

2025-06-24 21:52:03 +0000 UTCThis was awful for the entire NBA fan bas, including OKC, even though I don’t feel bad or empathize with them at all. Basically a lot like Raptors fans, winning a chip cuz the other side just got devastated by an important injury(ies). Hali started off the game hot and yeah he could’ve cooled off and maybe only ended with 11 pts but the fact that we’ll never know and OKC gets a lame game 7 win out of it is just shitty. But it felt like to me Hali was going for a 40 piece in this game. I will credit OKC for one thing though. The stockpiling of picks and the rebuild they achieved was probably the most impressive turnaround I’ve ever seen. Has there ever been a team to draft THREE MVP level players into one roster, lose every single one, and then win a championship within the next 7 years by acquiring ANOTHER MVP and still have a bunch of picks leftover? They gotta be the best FO ever.
