The thing with the W with my guy friends I keep trying to put on is so much of their game is more replicable to our Sunday pickups. Like the simple downhill drives by VB I’ve incorporated into my game and Phee’s footwork in the post. Like we’re not doing windmills like LeBron in the YMCA 😂 just makes me have more appreciation for the fundamental skills and team ball in the W

Williams and Heideman got super comfortable shooting just by picking up the pace on us, and once they flipped the game they could keep us at an arms length defensively despite the late heroics. I’m not a big believer in the Mo threes, but I actually like Ily posting up more like she did this game. It doesn’t take away from her shooting, and when she identifies a mismatch and if she is assertive (big if ), I think she is genuinely really good at using her frame to get the seal and finish with touch. Mo is a solid screener and high low passer as well, so I don’t think she is out to lunch on the perimeter either.
