On The Ground in Gaza: Serving the People in Palestine

Willy Massay returns to the show to discuss his second trip to Gaza as a medical volunteer. He got back two weeks ago and stayed for over a month. He discusses his experiences, the wintry conditions and terrible air quality in Gaza and how both are impacting the health of every single Palestinian on the ground. He also discusses the ceasefire, the spirit of the Palestinian people, and his personal relationships and experiences with Palestinians.

Hey mate. I listened to this a week or so ago - and was moved to tears by the overwhelming sadness AND the awe-inspiring heroism of the resistance in occupied Palestine. Then today I listen to the shorter previous episode and was again moved… when you spoke of the dialects of repression/resistance once again I felt such admiration for the Palestinian resistance - in the face of the most brutal oppression in living history perpetrated by the most brutal empire in human history and its lackeys (so-called “Australia” being one) they stand tall and refuse to be beaten; the imagery of Yahya Sinya resisting to the bitter end - one arm blown off and out of ammunition, yet he has enough strength to throw whatever he could reach at the enemy. In the future, his story will be remembered after the current “Great Men Of History” will be long forgotten. Solidarity.

I struggled to listen to this on a human level when there was discussion about children dying etc. That's most definitely me and I'm not one for avoiding robust content/language. Guess we can all get overload. Bet it was great epidode but ducked out. Will have to revisit.
