Tentacle Rig Test and Current Focus

I'm currently working on the first enemy. Some sort of tentacle monster !
I'll be coming up with some options for the main body of the tentacles soon and will probably do a poll to see what you would like to see.
But if you have any suggestions please let me know.
This enemy will be a simple Tier 2 enemy, so it will do damage and therefore is able to kill the player.
You will be able to shoot it to stun or kill it if you don't want to get fucked by it.
It will have to be something stationary, like a tentacle plant or tentacle rock monster etc. The cool thing with tentacles is they can kinda come from anywhere.
Also want to say a huge thanks to those who downloaded and tried the demo i put up.
I know some people had some issues and I am working on them too.
The feedback and system specs of anyone having issues was very helpful.
Looking forward to getting more out soon.

2022-05-18 17:26:12 +0000 UTCYes I love it. So many options :) At first it will be simple with the same mesh but different materials, as you said. As time goes on I'll make different meshes for sure. For me to make fast animations and different variations right now I'll build this main rig with maybe 3 rigged tentacles and just make a few unique main bodies for them, each having there own animations of course :) Love the alien tentacles in a lab idea btw!

Plant tentacles outside, sea-monster ones near water, alien or fleshy ones in labs etc? You could go simple with just colour/texture swaps or all in with different models, flower-buds, sucker's, cock-heads or similar 😁
