New NJB: Winter Cycling in Finland!
Added 2021-01-24 15:09:43 +0000 UTCFor the past few weeks I've been working with an urban planner in Finland on a video about winter cycling, featuring the winter cycling capital of the world, Oulu, Finland. This is a city with really cold and snowy winters, yet where 22% of all trips are done by bicycle, and 77% of the population rides a bike!
This video was a tough one to make because it required coordinating with so many different people who provided research and video clips, but I'm really happy with how it turned out.
I had heard of Oulu before, but it's even better than I could have imagined. There were so many great things about the city that I couldn't fit them all into one video. I'll definitely want to make a follow-on video some day, and I've got some good content that I'd like to put together into a bonus video in the near future.
