This video is an important "core topic" of urban planning that I wanted to cover: the fact that just about any housing except for a single family home or apartment/condo is illegal to build all over the US and Canada.
This is crazy, especially when compared to Europe, where homes of all shapes and sizes are found all over the place. As usual, it was the same in US and Canadian cities up until the 1940s and 1950s, when everything started to go wrong.
