The other week I was in Oud West, in Amsterdam, and I came across this wide street (Hoofdweg). It got me thinking about how space is allocated on such a large street, and about how this would be done in my home town.

In the future, I think I'll do a longer public video on this proposed road widening in my hometown, and use it as an example of the worst ways to divide up space on a roadway. But until then, enjoy this bonus video about the right vs. wrong way to design a street!
