Siren’s color practice 🫧
Added 2023-10-11 15:00:04 +0000 UTCRecently I’ve been studying Loish’s amazing Patreon tutorials and it’s been an amazing experience. She is a wonderful teacher and all of her tips and tutorials are wonderful, I had a great time just letting loose and color sculpting over this sketch of Siren Adora.
I realized that I was putting too much effort and stress on trying to do rendering and cleaning perfectly a piece and it was great to just relax and let imperfect brush strokes here and there and experiment with vibrant colors and away from the boring beige/grey I was kind of falling into and I think it came out great!
The main inspiration for this color palette were actually jellyfishes! Given siren Adora is a sea creature I gave myself the freedom of imagine an under the sea environment with blue, pink and lilac shades for the skin and the hair reminiscing of jellyfish tentacles.
