Update for you all! Plus Patron questions!
Added 2023-04-04 23:27:49 +0000 UTCI apologize for the lack of updates thus far, I was hoping to get a prototype soon enough but I'm worried it'll take longer than how I was wanting. I'm getting into the CSS and HTML parts of Twine yet I worry about the Javascripting that might need to be done. I'm going to attempt more of this project in stages and try to get out more material for those who are supporting me already, which I am very happy for those who have done so. The people here make me feel appreciated, and honestly excite me for what the potential may bring if I continue to apply my time here.
Now I do have some questions for those here, don't be shy, you can help influence a lot!
The current project is going to take some time. I wanted to make a game rather than a choose your own adventure story, but a CYOA could give me more experience in Twine altogether.
A problem I am having is that I *know* that I could do a basic Twine story. Doing those will grant me no experience in figuring out a custom UI, the pathing I want for the male bear to have, and any other specialties the game currently has.
Would you prefer I continue on my current project, work on a smaller side project to gain the basic experience of Twine, or try to do both at the same time?
And for updates, would you rather want substantial updates that denote big changes or would you want to see more frequent updates such as something like "hey, this is what I did today!" ?
I really do want to stick to the project though. Diverting time from this project to an easier one feels like admitting defeat already, but it could help in the long-run.

Hehe. Thank you for the kind words and a big thank you for supporting me! I didn't think about keeping content spoiler free for the fact that I wanted people to know things were still being done, but with your words, I'll put up a spoiler warning for future updates that might contain spoilers. The poll is a good idea too! Even if I don't have something to bring as an update, keeping the updates as a journal is neat idea.

2023-04-05 00:29:48 +0000 UTCI'd say stick to the project and focus on making it right and finishing it! No need for a side project, I believe you've laid out the scope very well with the prior post. As for updates, I would vote to set a schedule, like a weekly, bi-weekly, or a monthly update just to say what's being done. Keep room for surprises though, and don't spoil content during the updates! Rooting for you, and very excited for the prototype!
