P.S. Timmy vs Jimmy fight was a great parody/recap on 1988 film “They Live”. Outstandingly hilarious, stupid, entertaining and bold (even back then) to show one boy on wheelchair fighting against another one with crutches. Only Trey and Matt edge enough to make it, and actually make it work.

This particular episode showed significant changes in writing quality. Mainly because Trey and Matt already established themselves as capable showrunners, eared trust and respect among talent writers whom they started hired more often since then. For example, in this episode writing crew decided to shift focus from boys to other characters. And it turns out to be Timmy and Jimmy. And for Jimmy that was helluva introduction. When they made first draft for episode, Trey and Matt originally wanted use Jimmy once and make his appearance once or twice through the show. However, there were writers who convinced to let Jimmy stay in South Park as permanent character and change his relationship with Timmy. And that was absolutely right decision. Through these two handicap kids Trey and Matt showed something nobody really were bold enough to do — they made excellent representation of handicap people, without overvictims them. Handicap people, especially children, perfectly aware that their fate is not one of the best. And last thing they wanted is to be reminded about that. And it was South Park, with it satire, dark and toilet humour and talented writers showed respect to these people by treating them as equal to anybody else. Timmy and Jimmy argued, fought, tried to be part of scout movement, supported Big Gay Al, etc. And never let their physical nor mental limitations become their weaknesses. For early 2000’s that was a lot.
