The Neo-Future of the Patreon: Part 2: The Sequel: Remastered

Wow! It's been a little bit hasn't it? I've been wanting to write this up for awhile.

My new job has been alright. It's a commercial truck driver gig so the labor laws are a bit different. This isn't some "woe is me" explanation since I chose this but as something I wanna say just so folks understand some delays. I work 70 hour weeks per regulation. Each day I either drive for 11 hours or do work with the truck for 14 hours. Could mean I worked for 7 hours with the truck, and then I'm only allowed to drive for 7 more hours. Then I need to take a 10 hour break, which includes sleep time. It goes like that until 70 hours have passed, then I take a 34 hour break, and then it restarts from there.

On the long stretches of highway, I realized I could use voice to text on my phone to write my last commission. The second half of The Master's Pet story was done like that, and then during my 34 hours I edited it all.

In doing this, this means that I could potentially continue to do commissions, personal stories, and even poll stories. My phone, my voice, and one 60 mile straight line could mean a first draft for a 2,000 word story.

My plan currently is as such.

1. Finish the commissions in my queue.

2. Finish the trades in my queue.

3. Finish personal projects.

4. Build up a new series I've got cooking up.

5. Reopen commissions and certain parts of the Patreon.

That's right though. A new series? What does that mean?

It might come to a surprise to some of you that I don't really want to be a porn writer for the rest of my life. Commissions are nice but I've started to feel their staleness in a creative sense. I've asked so many friends the same question - "has my writing gotten stale?" And they all say the same thing - "No! It's getting better and better!" But to me it really has. It's a level of repetition I seem to not be able to break at least in the current moment. Average man or woman, inciting incident, and then transformation. 2,000-10,000 words just don't allow for a meaningful plot with chapters and arcs.

In actuality, I want to be a published author. I want to create meaningful stories, or stories that elicit emotion. They don't have to be the next "GREAT AMERICAN NOVEL" but something that maybe makes someone inspired to create fan art whether that be literal art or fan fiction. A character or story people can be attached to. Something that's not so... pornographic as its sole characteristic.

So that's what this series is. Something of a fantasy adventure you'd read probably on Wattpad or some other amateur site. I'm not going to make any promises because I've done that before and I never seem to be able to follow through with them, but I had thought about this project for awhile. I don't want to just give up this Patreon when we have 300+ people either still paying the one dollar a month or following me. This is something that will develop my authorial voice and style, fix the staleness I have with writing constant porn, and will still give content for you all here.

I might say it will be a little awkward for the people solely here for porn, or if I gather followers who are here simply for the series and have to avert their eyes from the "GIANT BEAR FUCKS HUMAN BITCH WITH HIS THUNDERCOCK" type of stories, but I wanna try it out. It can't hurt to try. I've been thinking about it for at least a month now so I don't think I'll lose the inspiration too quickly but I wanna wait until I've written a few chapters just so I know if it's something I wanna follow through with and post here. Plus if I'm ahead on writing it I could possibly post a chapter a week? It does have transformation involved! But also some adult themes that aren't those adult themes you're thinking of.
