Update so Everyone Knows I'm Alive! + Ideas for Future Projects

Hey hey hey! Pretty informal update here since this'll just be talking about my ideas for the future and how things have been going. I've been putting off on this just like I've been putting off a lot. I feel comfortable leaving this up even if there hasn't been much progress because of the dollar buy-in and the fact that there is still a reason for people to subscribe if they see my stuff on FA for the first time, which makes me feel better, but I still don't want to leave anything dormant. Even with my new job, this has helped with money surprisingly!

Speaking of my new job, it's rough! Can't complain too much about it since I made the decision to get into trucking, but there's a low physical barrier, which is nice for me since that was a big reason I couldn't get into most jobs. I have really bad flat feet so standing for long periods of time is... mega unfun. And working on my feet? Gosh, please no.

But mentally it's rough. I'm supposed to be writing using my phone and voice recognition, I'm supposed to be listening to a robot voice read out a friend's writing so I can give feedback on it, there's so much to do and when paired with a 50/60/70 hour workweek, it's... hard to not just want to huddle with my laptop and do things I wanna do. Writing is fun, but it's also work, and so when I get some free time... I just feel like playing something or enjoying that time over working more. Heck, even uploading art feels like work these days.

With using voice recognition while driving, I do feel a bit... awkward about it considering it can be distracting, but also it's like work, on top of work. I'm sure it's because the current story I wanna get done with is giving me these hangups and as soon as I can get past it, I can write a lot more. I do feel like I lose a bit of style with using voice, but people really have enjoyed some of the stuff I've done recently with voice so I know that's not the case.

It's just something I have to keep working on. I feel so tired everyday but I imagine that's how everyone probably feels these days.

But onto more fun ideas. I've been thinking up a LOT of ideas to pump out for you all! And I'm talking some meaty stuff too, not single stories, but things emulating novels? Some... I think wouldn't fit for the Patreon based on what I've uploaded in the past, but there is a part of me wanting to give the porn writing a backseat since I've been writing so much of it recently so I can do more novelistic stories.

Rather than just talking about it, I figure I should just discuss ALL of the ideas I've thought about, and maybe some people in the comments can give their thoughts on everything!

1. The first idea I have. It's something... I may have written a whole outline for. It's NOT for this Patreon, but... I love it too much. It has nothing to do with transformation, and is more about a family of bears trying to exist in an Appalachian-like town. A young 19-year old butch lesbian struggling with her place in life while keeping herself and her 14-year old and 7-year old siblings afloat after their alcoholic father is imprisoned. I've talked with a few Patrons here and there, and everyone agrees that if this is the thing I spend the next few months writing, I'm probably going to lose a good amount of people who are here to get something that's very much not... that. And I get that, and I don't blame those people. It's just that I'm looking for something to write that'll help me get closer to that goal of being an author. It's something I desperately want. I feel so much envy towards other furry writers who were able to make it big. I'm happy for them, but at the same time, I wish I knew what to do correctly so I could be like them. Having a visual novel be like all of those gay ones would be awesome. Alas, this story is the closest to being written on, and... I might have to be convinced by y'all to work on one of the other ideas here haha. I'm very much inspired by Night in the Woods with something like this here, and there isn't a lot of happiness going to be in a story like this. Catharsis yes, happiness... no.

2. This next idea was actually before the previous idea! It's... kind of neat because it does have transformation in it, and it's a story that's analogous to certain kinds of anime or RPGs where a party of adventurers just keeps getting bigger and bigger as the story progresses. The story here having an... end in mind, but everything in between that and the beginning could almost be seen in the way some fanfictions work? Throw characters that have been changed in various ways since first introducing them into funky/deep/serious situations and just see how that plays out. I think I'll probably add more constraint and discipline then letting it get that far, but it's something I enjoy. Essentially a human thief transforms into this giant skunk like feral/anthro hybrid as a curse and he slowly meets more people that have been cursed in some fashion? Some of it being TF stuff, some of it being more serious stuff. With all of these ideas, I wanna go more serious, less sexual if I can. Not an absence of sex, but it's definitely needing to have a reason to be there. I enjoy this idea for the world I've created in my head for it, which I anticipate making it a bit mysterious so people feel the need to keep reading.

3. This idea is definitely most bonkers and transformative out of the bunch. A late night cartoon show ends up dragging humans into its world, transforming them into toon characters, and now everyone involved has to get out before they succumb to the wackiness of the situation by fully adopting the mantras and personalities of the characters they are now. I enjoy the idea of this being a bit dystopic where you want to get out because you have people you have or those that rely on you in the real world, but this world is constantly pushing down onto you, wanting you to conform, and it's... difficult to resist that. I also like the idea of the show being a legitimate cartoon and there's these floating cameras that snap onto you, making you have to act like that character so your show gets a good rating. Since... if you try to fully resist, then your show gets canceled, and... well, who knows what'll happen to those toons. It's a fun concept. And it'd be fun to make a bunch of humans into various anthropomorphic cartoony critters and to have that clash of wacky and serious since these are more real people that I put effort into over typical TF stories and they have definite reasons to not want to be stuck here even if the real world sucks at times.

4. This story is one that I came up with recently, and it's one I've always thought about in various ways, but never have really connected the dots until now. It was recently that FortunataFox did me a wonderful commission, which you can see here - https://www.furaffinity.net/view/58336483/ , which made me realize that I should do a story about this. I'm so into transgender topics and themes, it only makes sense to try that here. The image is pretty much the beginning of the story. Some human guy is transported into another world as a female bear, literally running head first into a big, gruff, bear warrior who is much more of a realistic character than you might initially think. No no, he isn't going to bend over the new gal and mate with her right then and there, but he's definitely attracted to her, and since he's pretty much a mercenary, he doesn't think twice of escorting this new girl around as she seems pretty confused about everything! This story would be much more about accepting how life changes and flows with the bear woman not being pushed by mental changes into accepting everything like how I normally do porn. The only problem here is I don't know what to do with the main plot! Well, I suppose the only idea I have is the female bear wanting to find a way to return to her world, all the while slowly getting used to everything. It's a neat idea, but something that still needs to be fleshed out.

Each of these, except the first, do need a bit of work to be fully developed, but I like each of the ideas enough to make them my personal project as I finish up with my trades and comms. I hope these sound fun and I'd love to know everyone's thoughts!
