Another server and 9TB of drives
Added 2020-04-28 13:21:54 +0000 UTCI've been struggling for storage for a while now, I managed to snag a dell R720 with 16 SFF slots which came today, along with 10 x 900GB 2.5 inch SASs drives and i should have another 10 x 900GB SASs drives coming with a few left over for hot spares / spares. SteamArchive.net i was going to shut down at the end of this month but i set myself of a goal of screenshotting every banned profile there is... with almost 24 million vac bans in the database themselves, thats some serious storage needed considering for the last 2 years some accounts already have multiple screenshots. So that will be becoming patreon only to reduce site load / bandwidth while giving back to the people that support SteamID and SteamArchive.
With that said, SteamArchive.net also has new screenshot servers so getting though another say 24 million screenshots should be a lot quicker.
Depending on how patreon goes and the use of SteamArchive along side steamID. I suspect in the not too distant future i maybe looking into some Dell or HP SANs although electric costs are the killer!

Another lot of 10 drives turned up today, The raid will be slightly bigger with plenty left over for spare for WHEN these drives fail
