Dev Diary #123

Another week, another diary! It's going to be a short one, though.

I wanted to show you the highlights of what I've been working on recently, but first, I wanted to tell you that the beta of v2.D should be available sometime next week. This new version doesn't have all the planned content, but as I told you in the last DD, I want to have a few days slash a week to work on the anniversary stuff. Still, you will have interesting things to do, that's for sure.

First of all, here is the final interface of the Marketplace:Just today, I finished writing all the dialogues introducing this new small feature and Mabel as our personal mailwoman.

Also, changes have been applied to Mara. Before vs After:As expected... while reviewing/revising all of Mara's levels, I noticed that her fangs are rarely in sight. This is because many versions ago, Mara's model didn't have fangs. One day, I decided to make them visible to make it more evident that she's a vampire, but I completely forgot that this would mean that I would have to redo scenes/tasks...

So, bit by bit, that's what I'm doing.That includes everything related to her panel.Also, it includes redoing some of the other girls' stuff, like Yuna's or Anna's underwear. I'm not sure if I showed this already, so just in case, I'm showing it again just in case.

And if that's not relevant enough, I show you what the ‘new’ Perks panel looks like.What's the reason for this change? The Perks panel looked this way until now:It's simple: Half of the old perks are now automatically unlocked due to the latest changes... so I decided to simplify it.

Now, the ‘General’ section is what used to be called ‘Crafting’. This section will also include things related to lust power, and this panel should look like this for the rest of the project without further changes (I hope).

On the other hand, for the last few days, I've been working on the new main quest, ‘The first task’. It's a brief introduction to the whole rank system, and although Maria should handle it, I wanted to take a different approach, so Suna is in charge of this quest.At least 90% of the quest is with her.I did it thinking first about the general idea of the quest (I won't give any spoilers), but then I thought it would also be a good chance to get to know Suna a bit more before we even know her name. My idea is that you can see her as someone more relevant before unlocking her. I know relevant things happen before that, but I've always thought of her as just another extra girl and not as Suna.

By the way, the same thing happens with Mabel in the introduction to the Marketplace, so I've used all that to make Mabel's relevance in GV a bit more known.

What remains to be done?

Well, not much more, as I'm going to leave the rest of the content I had planned for the next version. But:

• Make the renders of Mabel's scene.

• Make the renders of Vanessa's post-scene (I've written the dialogues today).

• Revise some last-minute stuff.

• If I have time, I'll try to redo Mabel's levels 2 and 3 (renders).

• Translating.

I'll leave the new feature, ‘Panty Collection’, for the next version as I need several days to work on it. This feature will be unlocked with Mara, but we'll discuss it another day.

I would like to be able to implement this feature as planned, but next week is the easter holidays, and I have a couple of personal matters; it's the anniversary, and I want to work on it... I could delay the new version for another week or so, but I don't want to leave too much time between versions, nor do I want to be overwhelmed by the workload, so... I think that's the middle ground.
