In my last post about the gym, I touched on the topic in general.
I liked that you shared your impressions in response, thank you 🥰
I want to continue with more details.
This was the first experience for my partner and I and we visited the gym for 4 months. We were lucky that we found a good trainer who explained everything to us in great detail and clearly. My partner's goal was to lose some weight, my goal was to gain 😄
To achieve our goals, the trainer recommended that we both count calories and maintain a balance of proteins, fats and carbohydrates and also gave us individual recommendations for the amount of all these macronutrients.
Surprisingly, it was quite easy for us to get used to the fact that any food, be it candy or just a small snack, needs to be written down on the list of what we eat for the day. By the way, there is a convenient application for this where you can do this and track the balance of proteins, fats and carbohydrates.
I finally started eating normally 😊 Before regularly visiting the gym, I constantly forgot about this and most often it turned out that I ate only once a day, as a result of which my health left much to be desired. Although this seems logical and understandable to me now, before I didn’t connect it in my head with the fact that if you eat little, you will feel bad.
We went to the gym for a while, rejoiced at our success, and then my partner got sick and the doctor recommended that he stop playing sports for several months. Now everything is fine, he is alive, he was cured and everything is fine :)
But because of this break and the fact that a lot of things and worries piled up, we gave up going to the gym for about a year and a half.
As a result, progress was partially lost and we gained weight. At one fine moment I realized this and complained to my beloved life partner: “I’ve become fat... I don’t like looking at myself in the mirror.” To this I received a similar answer and we remembered and realized that we had stopped doing what we liked for a long time, namely going to the gym and looking after our health. We discussed it and decided to resume.
This time, I was the first to return to the gym, contacting the same trainer who worked with us a year and a half ago, and my partner joined me a month later because he needed to finish undergoing treatment.
And so, we again began to regularly visit the gym for three months now and enjoy our successes and each other’s successes and plan to continue this as long as possible 😊
